Arrived bit late in the day with my partner and another friend for a quick bite. Service was great, and the food was tasty and very impressive. I would go again, next time to try the coffee. My partner had the bacon/egg roll, it looked awesome, my friend had the steak Sanger, she said it was the best she had tasted, and i had the falafel burger....yum, was so tasty and good level of spice.... I'd go back just for that..
Id not originally been impressed with Foodarama when I moved into the area a few years ago. However, since their recent refurbishment, I decided to give them another go and Im so glad I did!
It is a small space, with only about 20 seats, and some great looking sweets and savouries on display. I popped in for a weekend breakfast and started with my usual affogato (perfect ice-cream-scoop to coffee-shot ratio thanks very much!).
I then decided to try their Italian style breakfast: scrambled eggs folded with tomato and parsley, sprinkled with Parmesan, topped with hollandaise and presented with toast. In a word: delicious.
The serving size was perfect as I didnt need a huge meal, just a well balanced one, and that was exactly what I got.
Though the traffic noise from King Street was audible, I was still able to read my newspaper & hear the funky new versions of old tunes playing.
The service was non-intrusive and a little quirky the barista didnt seem to be a fan of eye contact - but her coffee was great!
All in all Foodarama was a good way to kick-off my Saturday!
foodarama does great coffee by campos and pretty yum food too! it's well priced, good taste and a sweet little environment. a refreshing addition to the south end cafes in newtown.
