Best vanilla gelato on the planet! The atmosphere dining amongst the fruit and vegetables at night time is unique and surprisingly romantic. The pizzas are huge and delicious, good value for money. The rest of the menu is a bit on the pricey side but not a deal breaker if you appreciate fresh ingredients.

Italian providore and cafe by day, restaurant by night. This place does THE best pizzas! Both gourmet and traditional plus a range of other great italian dishes - at a great price. Great wine list and an open airy space with minimal decor. The italian staff give it a really authentic feel and are really friendly and attentive. the place is always busy so you definitely need to book - they do 2 sittings on a weekend night - at 6 and 7.30. My only complaint is that they're only open evenings from Weds-Sat! Plus it is a great providore by day with an AMAZING cheese room, great fresh fruit and veges and lots of great sauces, olive oils and pastas etc. I've never tried anything from their deli counter but their anipasta stuff looks great.

Looks like it's a deli by day. I went at night though where it transforms into a spacious pizza restaurant. They have a huge wood fired pizza oven so you can be sure the pizzas are dripping with flavour and not mass produced. There's plenty of different choices and the different options fall into the more 'traditional' pizza menu. While they've got a thin crispy base plenty of flavours they're not my favourite in Sydney. A few of them just had too much cheese, which seems weird.
There's a great wine list and the staff are fantastic. Also there's plenty of space so they don't ram you in like sardines.

i just moved into the area and was delighted when I came across a deli that has its own restaurant, I was so excited to try the food. I loved Italian food, was over the moon to try their pizza so one night I decided to treat dinner for a friend on his birthday. I was raving to him on how this place is going to be good and everything was indeed good until I came across one of the staff members. I was at the Gelato counter wondering what was in one of the Gelato called Cassata so I asked them, to my surprise they didn't say a word, pretty much just look at me awfully while they handed in the tester spoon to me. I was appalled and when I handed the spoon back I said "I have to say, you've been pretty rude" and they pretty much just looked at me and gave me a repulsive grin.

I have never ever been treated like that in any restaurant, even in a food court. I have never ever complaint about anything, in this case about any dining experience in my life before, and I have been to a lot of places since food is my passion so for this to happen it would've been something so drastic. I left feeling horrible, and I have never felt that way leaving a restaurant before.

Fair enough if it has been a horrible stressful day for everyone at that restaurant, or if they personally had a bad day, but of course it is never an excuse for wait staff of any restaurant, let alone one of a nice restaurant like Fourth Village to treat a customer that way, or even for one person to treated another that way, that was just the worst customer service experience ever for me, and because of this, that horrible experience definitely outweigh my enjoyment of the food and everything else there for me that night.

    Great concept....!
The products, ambience and staff are all absolutely excellent - but unfortunately the food is absolutely horrible! Although presented well, it is tasteless, bland and boring. You expect something tasty, simple and enjoyable - especially surrounded by such incredible produce! On a brighter note the barrister is great and coffee tastes fabulous.

Definitely go here to buy produce, as it all is very fresh and there are lots of gourmet ingredients from across the globe - but my advice is take it home and cook for yourself as the cafe is disappointing.
