I have started going to franks pit stop several years ago after being drastically over charged by many other mechanics... I drive an Alfa Romeo 147 and under stand that they are a little more to look after than the normal car. To have my timing belt changed... Their price was less then 50% compared to my previous replacement. I had my actuator changed as this is a common problem with the Alfa selespeed... And even well after the warranty was over ... There was a minor problem which the fixed for free... This is the only place I could ever recommend if you have an Alfa :)

I have used Franks Pitstop for the last 9 years to service and repair both of my cars, my old Alfa 156 and my 1 year old Alfa 159, I found them Honest and polite, their work is of Highest Quality.
Frank always rings me first to give a quote, my car always drives and feels better after its service.
I was recommended to take my car by a work colleague who was tired of dealer prices and policies.
I have been happy with their service and can recommend them to people who are looking for a dealer type service without the price tag.

$1900 for parts and labour for the following on my Alfa 147; 60k service, replace timing belt and variator. The car still has excessive tappet noise, which is what they recommended replacing the variator would fix. Awful experience for me.

Stay well away from Franks Pit Stop Motors Liverpool Road. Not only did they overcharge me $300 on my 156 on a simple job, they charged a friend of mine $600 for a $100 part and half hour labor.

I first took a troublesome little FSM Niki 650 (the tiny "Polish Fiat") to Frank, who is renowned as a specialist in Fiats and Alfas, many years ago and have never gone anywhere else since. That Niki was extremely unreliable but I was addicted to the car, so without fuss Frank found me another one, fixed it up and it went like a dream (as much as a Niki 650 can). Ironically, part of the pleasure of owning such a weird vehicle was dealing with my mechanic, who was at all times good-natured, reliable, honest and affordable. I learned a lot about my car and cars in general because Frank is a generous and capable communicator. When you're at Pitstop Motors the loyalty of his staff is tangible. I couldn't recommend this place more highly.

Reliable, honest. Good value. The only negative thing I can think about them is that sometimes the parking is a tad inconvenient. Highly recommended.

Honest and reliable, and a delight to deal with! I'm an alfa romeo owner and they truely know their cars, especially European ones. I switched to Frank's Pitstop after being continually being over charged by others!
Good ol' fashioned service, with a true passion for cars like alfa's, fiats and others.
P.S. the coffee is great too!
