Reviews of Fratelli Fresh

Having gone to this Fratelli Fresh and the one in Waterloo within the same week- I feel I have right to say that the standard of food at both are the same exceptional quality.
The menu is very similar (even to the point that the menu is also on an oversized balckboard with freakishly similar handwriting to the Danks Street store)- I tried the Polenta at both and they were the same creamy, mushroomy goodness...
My parents loved it too and were happy with everything we ordered including the Blue Cod and the Poached Salmon Salad. There are fewer tables to eat at but still has that Fratelli vibe.
The service seemed to be a little slower at this one but it was worth the wait.
Note: they only serve lunch from 12- so if you are trying to beat the crowds- 12 on the dot is a great time to arrive.

Located on the buzzing, trendy strip that is Macleay St in Potts Point, this fantastic Italian grocery store has the freshest fruit and vege, at very reasonable prices. There is also a great range of cheeses and cold meats. If you want quality produce this is a great place to come. As well as offering groceries, Fratelli Fresh is home to Sopra, the well-renowned cafe/restaurant. Situated at the back of the store is this quaint eatery. There is a blackboard menu that changes daily and a good wine list. The meals are what you would expect from a hatted restaurant, only without the frills, at a fraction of the price. There is a great, unpretentious vibe here. The fresh Italian pastas and risottos are a must-try, and the seasonal salads are always fresh and delicious. Whether you want casual dining or you are looking to buy some fresh food to prepare at home, this is your one-stop shop.

Imagine my joy when Fratelli Fresh opened its doors in Potts Point, after being in Danks Street Waterloo for many years.

With a huge selection of seasonal fruit and vegetables, fresh herbs and great Italian deli items, you can pretty much purchase everything on your weekly shopping list here.(For the things you cant, try the chemist next door or Woolies downstairs.)

My favourite purchase from Fratellis is their Italian Sardines. Theyre amazing and once you try them you wont be able to return to ordinary supermarket brands. Their home-made lemon butter is worth trying too.

Staff are helpful and its open late and on weekends. Clients include well-known Eastern suburb types, from fashion, media and model types to doctors and lawyers.

Overall five stars and I havent even started to rave about Caf Sopra, the attached restaurant.
