Authentic Thai food in an intimate and elegant setting. The large glass walls, statuettes and tapestries give this restaurant a chic ambiance. Not only is the food fresh and enjoyable, but there is a strong emphasis on heath and wellbeing at Fresh Chilli Thai. Dine on Pad Thai goong, stir-fried rice noodles, spring onion, beanshoot and crushed peanut in sweet tamarind sauce; or Tod Mun Pla: Thai fried fish cake with traditional dip and cucumber.

My husband and I travel to Thailand every year and love Thai food. We have dined in a lot of Thai restaurants in Melbourne and most have been great although some barely scrape by and others are just not Thai food! We use to live in Williams Landing and had the pleasure of dining at Fresh Chilli Thai Restaurant regularly. We moved over a year ago to north/western suburbs and although love where we live now, we miss dining at Fresh Chilli Thai and sometimes just head out there for a fix. Their food is consistently the best we have ever had in Melbourne and very reasonably priced. The staff are great (love their outfits) and the restuarant is nicely decorated. They offer BYO which we love but be warned, you must book early otherwise you will never get in. They cater to gluten free diners with no problems.
Reading back over this review my mouth is now watering so I will have to make the trek out there for another meal very soon!
I was very excited to be attending the Fresh Chili on Saturday night as I had heard so many good things about the place and I adore Thai Food. We arrived and met our party at around 7.45 and the restaurant was full, the smells were gorgeous, the waitresses looked lovely in their traditional outfits and I felt this was a good sign.
However, our order was not taken for over 20 mins and finally my husband caught the waiters eye. We ordered the set menu which was a very reasonable $25.00 per head and it arrived in a timely manner. Unfortunately the other 8 people in our party did not receive any entrees until, my husband chased their order.
The service was quite simply poor and the food was average to say the least, however the price was very cheap and the atmosphere was excellent we did have a great night.
As a BYO restaurant you can bring your own alcohol which saves money and the amposphere was great so all in all a good cheap night!
I have to correct with the previous comment. As far as i know Fresh chilli Thai, they stop doing "delivery" for nearly 3yrs. You might have ordered somewhere else in the area as they try hard to copy the taste and name, but they are not even close. I'm big fan of this restaurant and never felt down. I can share you a trick, the spicy hot taste can be selective when order and recommend for people like me who always hot & spicy. Sorry for Emma-Lou for awful delivery order at least you had dessert instead of dinner :P
Agreed with last reveiwer, not very authentic thai food and I personally was disappointed after all the hype. I ordered a delivery and had a coconut rice and red curry chicken. The curry was not very flavoursome at all and I found myself having to add my own chilli sauce for spice. The coconut rice was awful. It was a horrid claggy texture and the coconut taste was so overpowering, the whole thing tasted more like a dessert than a rice dish. Not what the hype made it up to be I must say.
I'm a big fan of this restaurant and i understand that you have ordered from the different restaurant as they are too many in the area. This fresh chilli does't do dilivery!! :p. And their curry is so spicy hot
Not the most authentic Thai food but definitely fresh good quality and good value. I had a largish function here and the service was great to start with but definitely drops off toward the end of the night. They are always busy so a booking is a must!
