Friend In Hand Hotel is a great pub with a good fun crowd. There are always fun events and entertainment on at the Friend In Hand Hotel. Thereâ??s crab racing, trivia night, poetry reading, comedy nights, life drawings, trivia, raffles and plenty of other events. Visit their website of information on entertainment and events. There is fantastic Italian food available at the No Names restaurant on the upper level. They serve a range of quality pasta dishes and good from the grill. A nice place to enjoy a meal that has interesting interior designs and decorations.

One of Sydney's best pub. A good laugh on a sunday afternoon where we were welcomed by the regulars. We won some meat trays in the raffle so made the day. Also the crab racing is fun on a wed night! Where white T's for it ;)

This is not a bad place to drink though the service can occasionally be a bit slow it's a fairly unique atmosphere with a combination of locals/regulars and others who often come for the No Names restaurant.

Eccentric watering hole is the antithesis of a fashionably minimalist drinking establishment.

A false leg is perched in the air above me. So are a model helicopter, stuffed goat and kangaroo heads, an accordion, a bear trap and a blow-up doll in a fireman's uniform. Behind, a cockatoo sways gently in a big wire cage while, around the corner, black-and-white photographs of Linda Evans, Tony Curtis and Robert Wagner, circa 1985, survey anyone using the cash machine. The Friend In Hand is the antithesis of a fashionably minimalist drinking establishment. Since 1983, when owner Peter Byrne bought this backstreet pub, the Friend In Hand has evolved into a watering hole akin to the home of an eccentric relative with a colossal collecting habit. Outside it's an attractive art deco pub with potted palms framing the entrances, original mustard-hued tiling and a flutter of Australian ensigns flying above the footpath.
