We have been there a few times, but it is nothing out of the ordinary despite its fantastic location-maybe that is what the management are resting their laurels on, but is certainly not the food and service is very slow most times. The prices are way too high for what you are getting, disappointing. -

Unfortunately it is always touch and go with the quality of food and service at the Full Moon. My husband took me there when he proposed so it is special to us and I keep giving multiple second chances to the place but it really isn't somewhere that we go knowing we are going to get quality food -

Finally thumbs up....a good meal at the Full Moon.
As we live in the area, we have been there many times and have never been happy with food or service.... except for last night (Friday). :)
Service was good (albeit a little slow) and the meals were excellent. Six people and we ordered steaks, salmon, barra... all cooked to perfection.
The staff behind the cash register would be the only disappointment of the evening. -

The Fullmoon was a great place to have my Birthday. A group of my friends and I enjoyed a great night at the Moonlight bar. The had a DJ on that night and had great cocktail specials.
I had never been there before as I live in the city. A friend of mine suggested we go to the Fullmoon. I had no idea that there was such a great venue in Sandgate.
If you have a free weekend, make sure you check it out.

Very disappointing. The Full Moon Hotel has all the makings of a great local - great view, open plan dining, kids room, cold beer etc. It is just such a great shame about the food. My family and I dined here approx one month ago (Nov 2010) and found the food to be very good for pub grub - nice steak well cooked, crunchy chips, and a reasonable selection for the family to choose from. We unfortunately made the error of dining there again yesterday for my birthday. We ordered the great Aussie Seafood platter, and a sirloin steak. I dont know what has changed (maybe a change in Manager), but the meals were awful. The steak was tough, chips were soggy, and the seafood had obviously been frozen. Worst of all, the oysters were off. They stunk like nothing I have ever smelt before. Surely no chef with any pride would have served these to a customer. The restaurant would not refund us for the meals, which were inedible. There were also many others around us who left their meals as well. A real shame - a good place ruined. We certainly wont be back. -

I am bitterly disappointed by the continued decline of the service and food at the Full Moon Hotel. Being a 4017 local, the Full Moon Hotel has long been a favourite spot for us to dine out but today was the last visit. My last few experiences have included atrocious service and average and over priced food. I sincerely hope that the management will take notice of the feedback being provided. Im a Sandgate local and am ashamed to think visitors who make the journey to our beautiful area may be subject to the embarrassment that has become the service provided by the Full Moon Hotel. -

This place was just voted (or awarded) best pub in the state. So if that gives you any idea of just how good the food is! A fantastic outdoor setting which takes in the views of beautiful Moreton Bay. A great place for sunday afternoon drinks and a late lunch. -

Full Moon is a great business lunch venue, with excellent menu and good wine list. On weekdays the table service is excellent. I have been to the restaurant on a Sunday and it is chaotic and you absolutely must book in advance to get a table. There is no (or very little) table service, and there is a long wait between ordering and receipt of food. The food, however, is excellent, and the views are really great. Highly recommended weekdays, and only for the very keen on the weekends! -

When are needing to get away from the city centre and needing a excellent family friendly environment with really nice food - we go to Full Moon. The prices are excellent!!!
