    I was very excited by this beautiful looking establishment, having been a local of Newtown for many years, and having a strong appreciation of the cultural diversity of the area. I was disappointed by the lack of knowledge regarding cuisine options. I inquired respectfully about vegetarian options for my guests and was met with hostility. I would suggest that this would be a great place to entertain out if you want to consume thoughtlessly and without regard for the specific cultural heritage of the local area. What looked initially like enthusiastic staff and management turned out to be purely attitude.

    Recommended.
    Lamb and Salmon dishes where delicious.
    Music was fun.
    Probably would have stayed for dessert and drinks of the service was better.

    This place is really cool. I go there whenever I can to have a meal and a drink. The music they have on is the kind that I would have to pay money to see anywhere else.
    Great food, cheap drinks, good atmosphere and excellent entertainment.
    I love the place.

    Since this place opened last year we have been regular customers. The owners Mark & Stella make a real effort to make sure you're well taken care of and make you feel appreciated when you return. Food is mainly Modern Australian and the servings are generous and tasty. Coffee is good. Also they do not charge corkage which is always a bonus. Decor is stylish as well. To sum it up this place serves restaurant quality food at cafe prices. Highly recommended by this local.
