This company gave me a quote for $385 to confirm a concrete slab met council standards in relation to the boundary. I asked them to come out and do the job when the concrete company was doing the formwork. They didn't show up till the next day and said the formwork had to be moved to meet standards, which of course annoyed the concrete company who had to come out again and move it all.
Then the surveyor had to come out again to check that we moved the formwork.

When i got an invoice it asked me to pay $550, because they had to come a second time. I argued that they quoted $385 and did not tell me it would cost more, even though it was their fault for coming a second time. They only had to come to Padstow!

It was unfortunate that i really needed their report, so i paid $500 for it.

i was really angry, but couldn't do much about it
For obvious reasons i wouldn't trust them.

  I am geordie and marty my naybor. marty is dope. he take my land. surweyor tell marty move fenc but he gets angry. stupid. surweyor put fenc in rite place. I think he ok.
