My fianc and I have been here twice now, and both times weve been very impressed. The first time we dined there I tasted their bircher muesli with cooked rhubarh and sultanas, whilst my fianc went through their bananas and maple syrup waffles lets say we were both licking our lips at the end! The second time we went there I gorged on their scrambled eggs with chopped salmon and chives, whilst my fianc went for the traditional BLT. This time the waiter forgot to put our order through so we waited a while, but the staff were very professional about this and gave us complimentary breakfast. I was very impressed about thisoh, and their coffee is splendid! -

Gattica is without doubt my favorite local coffee shop. The head Barrista, was explaining to me how he had further fine tuned the machine and talked passionately about the quality of the pour he was getting from his weapon of choice. He even made me a mini Cappuccino to try whilst I waited for my take away second breakfast so that my actual take away Cappuccino wouldn't be prepared too early and get too cold. This kind of experience is what makes this place so popular.
His coffee is good, the food is good also and the staff are very accommodating. -

Despite the fact that it's often overrun by painful obnoixious customers these guys are awesome. The head barrista has to be one've the nicest guys in st kilda and the coffees are world driving across melbourne for. Good food if you want a quick breaky too!
