    I used to go to Mel too, she is just brilliant and a lovely person to boot. Did great hair cuts etc, gave me new styles that I never thought to have, but I have found someone else who is just as good for less price and she does a terrific job too!

    Love your salons, but just too expensive! You have lovely staff who do a good job, but I just don't have my hair done with you anymore, as I can get just as good a cut elsewhere for a fairer price.

    My very fine short hair takes about 30seconds to blow dry shag finish (after cutting)and I was charged for a half blow dry. You used to do it for free, as it was so quick. That was my last visit. My family and I go elsewhere.

      braewood, i do agree with you that Gayes salons are overpriced and charging you for a blow dry seems a bit steap, but in my personal experience it can be very hard to find a good consistent hair dresser.
      I have found that at Gayes Brassall salon. I have gone to the same hair dresser at this salon for over 3 years. I also recommended Mel to my partner who is extremely particular about her hair. From then on My partner has never gone anywhere else.
      I am of the opinion that sometimes in life you might have to pay a little more for a hair cut at a salon where you feel comfortable and hair dresser that you trust to do a great job everytime.
      I also understand that taking a whole family to Gayes would be very expensive. I will continue to spend my money at Gayes Hair Fashion Brassall.
