    A Lygon street gelati counter with a dazzling array of decadent and inventive ice cream flavours. Unlike many similar shops, Gelatissimo also offer a variety of serving sizes to choose from; one can order a waffle cone that contains a modest scoop rather than an intimidating tower - and is priced accordingly. This is fortunate, as the softness of their ice cream means that it must be devoured hastily to avoid 'legs' down the side of the cone. During my visit, service was swift, but the few tables outside were packed with customers. Their macadamia flavour knew what it was about, but 'caramelised fig' was a little bland. I recommend Gelatissimo to fans of gourmet ice cream who appreciate the option of smaller servings.
