I have been to this place over 20 times and cannot falter the gelato. There is always a queue in the evening and just shows how many people like this place. My favorites and must try's would have to be pear and rhubarb, Manoffee Pie and the Apple Crumble. HEAVEN

This has got to be the best Gelato in Sydney. Heaps of flavours to choose from with reasonable prices to go with it. My personal favourite is the Bounty flavoured Gelato which tastes exactly like the chocolate bar. Long queues most of the time but definitely worth the wait, highly recommended!

This has to be the best ice cream in Sydney, the gelato is awesome too, everyone loves this place, there is a line most nights but the line moves pretty quick and the wait is well worth it, love the apple pie and the bounty tastes exactly like a bounty chocolate bar. do yourself a favour and try this place.

I think I'm the only person in Sydney who doesn't really like the gelato here. There is always the biggest line here its crazy - everyone loves it and raves about it! I have never had an amazing stand out gelato from here though. In fact I've had ones I can't finish because they don't taste nice or have a weird texture. Perhaps I'm choosing the wrong flavours?

Went here last night and got my usual bounty flavoured gelati but thought I would venture out of my comfort zone with a second scoop of one of the custom flavour. Keeping with the Christmas spirit, I tried the Christmas Pudding flavoured gelati. It was amazing. It actually tasted like a light and creamy version of pudding. I should have bought a tub of it.

If you love gelati then get down to messina and try it before Christmas as it is a limited edition flavour.

All Gelato shops need to aspire to what Gelato Messina produces. Every time I go there I walk away feeling like I deserved to spoil myself simply due to the taste. No one should have to miss out. Set in amongst many popular restaurants on Victoria Street, the Gelato is a much better dessert option than what you will find on the menu at a restaurant, so I recommend that you take a stop on the way home after dinner. They have an amazing selection of Gelato which can be mixed and matched depending on your taste and how much you want to indulge. I am a huge fan of the hazelnut chocolate mixed with that standard chocolate. For something a bit sweeter there is a tropical flavour that can be mixed with something like a lemon. No matter what your flavour, Gelato Messina will be able to match something to it. They also allow you to try before you buy making your decision all that much easier.

If you have ever been to Italy you know what REAL gelato should taste like, rich, creamy and true to the flavour it intends to be, and until recently i have not found a gelato bar here that truly recreates this taste sensation but on discovering Messina i was overjoyed with everything about this little Victoria street hotspot!

If the crowds and lack of parking dont put you off then i highly recommend visiting this eastern suburbs haunt, the selection is amazing, every the from lemon and chocolate to pavlova and yoghurt!

While you wait to be served you can watch the gelato masters at work as the kitchen is completely visible to the public and i must say the process is quite fascinating...who would have thought!

If youre struggling for choice youre able to have a few tasters, but regardless once visited you will make the effort to come back!
