    Having always played a lot of football and competitive sports, I never felt the need for a personal trainer. I had always perceived myself as relatively fit and felt I didnt need one. As it happens I got badly injured playing football a couple of years ago and after 6 months out of action, I struggled to find the motivation and time required to achieve my previous level of fitness. A friend recommended I talk to Gemma, who at the time was just starting her career as a personal trainer. I decided to give it a go and having survived the first session with Gemma, I signed up for my first boot-camp. 2 years later and I am now a regular at Gemmas boot-camps and have successfully completed my first marathon, over half a dozen half marathons and am back playing football with a level of fitness I possessed 10 year previously. I could easily rave about Gemmas enthusiasm for her work, her unique training sessions, (never the same session twice) and her innovative use of the outdoors, but when it comes to it, Gemma is distinct in two very important ways. Firstly and most importantly Gemma actually cares (a lot) about the people she trains, consistently going the extra mile (flexible work hours, training programs, dietary/nutrition advice, emotional support) to help them achieve their desired results. Secondly, Gemma actually trains with you and will support you through every minute of your workout by leading from the front. Its this additional support that helps you find another gear ever time you train with her. If youre looking to get fit, increase your current level of fitness or meet new people, Id highly recommend giving Gemma a call.

    I have been training with Gemma since January 2008. I have never been a gym-goer, but came to the first session as a favour to a friend thinking it would be a one-off. I found it really hard at first nd was shocked at how unfit I was, but Gemma was really encouraging and supportive and I went away with just a huge feeling of relief that I had finally find a way forward with a form of exercise I knew I could stick to. After that, I noticed a huge improvement very quickly and started really looking forward to the sessions. Nearly two years on, I am so much fitter and slimmer than I was, with the city 2 surf and a half marathon under my belt. I train with Gemma 3 and sometimes 4 days a week and it still costs me no more than having a gym membership (which I wouln't end up using anyway). Add that to the social factor of having a fun group of people to exercise with in a beautiful outdoor location and you can't beat it.

    I have been training with Gemma for over 1.5 years now and have had excellent results! Her classes are fun and a good mixture of cardio, weights and strength training, as well as being really affordable! I would highly recommend them to anyone of any level of fitness!
