The Taste SA Team visited this resturant on a Friday nite, and at first look we thought it was going to be really ordinary. They are now situated in a new location in Athelstone, and the setting is very basic. When we walked in the staff were really friendly, and if you are new to the resturant they are happy to give you a brief rundown how it all works. Firstly, you get a plate of sessame style bread to go with your meals, then you head up to the main counter and grab fresh bowl, then head over to the meats section.

At the time, the meats on offer were Kangaroo, Beef, Pork, Chicken and Lamb. You take as much or as little as you want, then add vegetables, sauces and then present the bowl to the chef's who are waiting next to the super huge frying plate. They take the bowl from you, and cook the contents of it in front of you, and pop it back into a bowl and your all set to go :)

If you are a bit unsure, there are suggested recipies on the main board, so you can start by trying a few of those out till you get the hang of it. I enjoyed the food and the night there, only problem you may find is later on during the night the line up to get your food cook can be crazy!. We got there at 6pm when it opened, it was easy for the first hour and we simply got up and got our order cooked right away. Within an hour or so, the place was full of people, and the lines waiting to get the food cooked was far too long, i mean basically a line up had at least 35 people in it. Eventually another cook appeared at the plate, to assist but it was all too late by then the like up was just too large, and the waiting far too long.

All it all, its good fun food :)
    Give it a try.

Location and restaraunt atmosphere seemed very dull & run down. The food is fresh and reasonably priced, appropriate for family gatherings. Polite friendly service. But is in desperate need of some ventilation, the steam from the wok can be unbearable & very sickly for those whom are suffering from colds, migraines or are elderly.

Authentic Mongolian BBQ. You choose what you want and they cook it in front of you.
with a choice of many different meats, sauces and vegetables.
All you can eat. only downer is you have to get up to serve yourself.

Locations is a bit dull, as its in a complex. great food, nice place.
