My friend & I visited them yesterday 29th February & was none too pleased with the unprofessionalism I witnessed & overheard upon a visiting bus load of customers, who it appeared had purchased considerable merchandise.
I was disgusted, in such a manner.
If an issue was at stake, then such should have been conducted in private with the tour operators & not, as it appeared, with passengers of the bus!
And certainly not voiced loudly & rudely in the presence of other visiting patrons.
I must say I was appalled at such behaviour. Not only did I leave without what I went for, but also I shall not be visiting the place again & will certainly never recommend you in the future.
In fact as far as word of mouth PR goes, they lack considerably.
I also found them quite rude when I phoned to ask their opening hours & directions.
Even asking a simple question received a nasty response.
So unnecessary. It breaks no bones in anyones tongue to be polite, especially in business.
Perhaps they may reconsider their behaviour & attitude if they wish people to continue visiting.
I however, shall not be one of them.
I'm no gardener, but the cafe here is superb. The old wooden floors, fireplace and verandah give this place a really nice atmosphere. The staff are wonderful and the food is top-notch. The breakfasts are particularly good; their Eggs Benedict is to die for. They know how to make a good cup of coffee too. In a semi-rural area where cafes and eateries are abundant, this one stands out as a real gem.
The nursery has a large variety of Geraniums to choose from and the staff is willing to give you helpful advice.
The nursery also has a cafe. The food is good, the scones delicious. It is quite expensive. For the prices they charge the surroundings should be better.
