Having one of the best beer gardens in the city, an exclusive wine list, covering everything locally and also internationally and lets not forget the cocktails. 

The menu here has a dish to suit everyone's tastebuds, even then most fussiest eater.

Despite its boldly advertised 'best burgers in SA', our 1st dining experience at the Gilbert left us satisfied, but underwhelmed. The said burgers (better described as steaks in buns) were undersized for pub fare, and were wanting for extra ingredients. The menu and beverages lists do feature some unusual items (my Irish Magners cider was a delightful first) but the staff's service was almost unfriendly. Aesthetically, the place falls awkwardly between pub and restaurant, despite the attractiveness of some elements of its inconsistent interior design. Worth a visit, but venture beyond the burgers!
