    Gillian Adams you are fabulously fine! You are terrifically tremendous at Turramurra!
    A wonderful voucher to my wonderful wife was so deeply appreciated. She did know whether to be thrilled or pampered - so she was both.
    You guys are all class and quality - thanks to one and all, a great experience from assisting me with what treatment to purchase to looking after Sam when she came in.

    WOW! What a beautiful place to have your hair done. The staff here were so friendly and treated me with such care. They listened to my needs and I couldn't believe how reasonably priced such a beautiful Salon was. Not only did i get a great colour and cut unexpectedly I received a delicious lite lunch. I'll be back!!!!!

    Obviously the decor here is beautiful and they are extremely expensive to compensate for that. Plus it's located in an area where money is in abundance, so I think Gillian Adams can charge through the nose and still have customers walking through the door. BUT two things I found dissatisfactory about this place which really detract from the experience. One, the way staff push products in your face to get you to buy them. This annoys me no end. I am NOT there to buy their overcharged products - but the staff go on and on despite me telling them I don't want to buy their things. Obviously they work on commission because they act as though their lives depend on you buying the products. Secondly, I hate the fact they expect generous tips, and you get sub-standard service if you don't tip. The look on their faces when they realise no tip is forthcoming is priceless. But I've learnt the hard way that the next time you go, you won't get the best possible service. So beautiful decor and building - rude staff, expensive and greedy for more. I used to go every few months, not any more, not since hearing that comment about me.

    Beautiful haven on the highway. I had a Vichy shower today- extraordinary. I don't think it is expensive for what you experience- this isn't your usual salon. Lovely staff.

    What I love
    Think the spa decor and gardens are beautiful.
    love staying for lunch and at $35 find it quite reasonable and lovely to sit out in the shaded gardens
    The staff are clearly professional, rooms are divine with lovelly luxury duvets on the beds.

    What I disliked

    I take time to work out what therapy I want and feel comfortable spending, but the therapists have now on 2 differnent occasions tried to 'upsell'. At $100 for an hour introductory facial is on the expensive side. Imagine then having someone then try to upsell you into having a $150 personalised facial for an hour is a rip-off and makes one feel uncomfortable having to say no.

    Obviously therapists receive a commission for selling various products, however find it a bit heavy handed.

    When I am paying $100 for an hours facial, I don't like to be left alone while the masque sets. As in other tops spa's I would like the therapist to stay in the room and offer a foot or hand massage so that the whole time I feel pampered.

    It would be nice to be able to use the pool for no further charge (as the likes of Observatory Hotel and other luxury spa's) instead you are charged $50 or there abouts and the experience is a bit blah for that kind of money.

    But I have to say that I do really think Gillian Adams Spa is lovelly and I recommend it but perhaps as a treat only.

    Great atmosphere, friendly staff - I think the massages and body treatments are the best things about this place. Facial was very good too, but I'm not really into facials. It costs a little more than other places, but the quality is much better, particularly if you're looking to chill out.

    I have always enjoyed going to the Spa for beauty treatments, but have never been very happy with the hairdressing salon upstairs. I have tried various cutters and colourists over the past few years, and none have been truly good. The colour is always average, and for the prices charged in that place I would have expected it to be amazing. Prices are very high - yes the environment is lovely, but they used to include a "complimentary" light lunch with hair appointments, and this doesn't happen anymore. Never thrilled with the cut, never happy with the colour. The last time I went there the colourist, (who also did the cut that day) was obviously running late for their next customer, and spent a lot of time during my cut and blowdry out of the room talking to the next customer and explaining they were runnng late. They quickly ran a hair dryer over my head, and I assumed they were drying off my hair to refine the actual cut - but NO! The quick blwodry turned out to be the finished product. They put no time into it at all, just a few minutes running the dryer over my head. A good blowdry takes a lot longer than that!!! I could have done better myself at home with one arm tied behind my back. It was so bad, but as I was only going home anyway I didn't say anything, just paid the exorbitant price and left (for good).

    All in all I would not recommend this salon, it may be very nice on the inside but based on the HUGE prices, the results are only average, or even slightly below average. Basically unless you are a wealthy person who tips generously every single visit (which is obviously what they're after) you will get mediocre service, and get shoved aside the second the next client walks through the door.
