    The bed was comfortable and breakfast was also really nice. Nice location as well. First traveled by train to city but found out that there is a ferry on a one minute walk from the hotel. Really easy. Personnel is only not really helpful or friendly. Also really positive is the free wifi access

    Stayed two nights in a single room with shared facilities. It was a dingy room and the bathroom was tiny. The bed was comfortble. The breakfasts were very good and surroundings pleasant in the dining area and garden. The location near the Kirribilli ferry is great. The ferries to Circular Quay go about every hour during the week.

    I found this place on a site that provide info on hotels that allow pets. I booked this place as I needed to stay somewhere that would allow a small dog. They put us in a room that was 1 below the top floor. The stairs were not suitable for a dog to walk down (big or small) so several times during the night I had to walk down several flights of stairs carrying my dog. Luckily for me he was small but if someone had a larger dog it would have been very difficult. As they charge extra for your dog to stay I would have though they would have put us in a suitable room that had access to the grass area or the street. When we arrived in our room the TV was broken. We did get moved to a different room (still same floor) and it was twice the size. This second room is normally the same price as the first so their isnt any consistency with the room sizes. When we spoke to them on the phone they sold it to us like the lodge was a B&B however it is more like a hostel as there are group shower facilites and a lot of rooms. Also, when we rang them we asked if they had parking as we knew it would be difficult to find a park in that area and they said they had parking, but the parking they had was on street. The room was nice enough, comfy bed but they shouldnt market themselves to pet owners when they dont go to any effort to make it suitable.

    The view from the balcony is just awesome, its ideally located and the rooms are of good standard, with price being very reasonable - not forgetting to mention the service is great, makes you feel like home

    I haven't stayed here myself, but have had quite a few friends stay here when we lived around the corner. Good quality budget style accomodation with lovely grounds. There is a share bathroom arrangement, and some rooms have views. My friend said it was a little noisy in her room and she could hear people walking up and down the hall. The staff are friendly and it's in a great location. Good value, but not the ritz!
