    Great experience! The staff were all great and steph who did my cut and colour did an amazing job! She was very friendly and professional and did exactly what I wanted! All in all a very good all round experience at a very reasonable price. Loved it and will be back!

    I wanted to love this place, but just walked away super disappointed. I was seeking a new long-term hairdresser. I booked in with a staff, showed up early, but unfortunately the staff didn't show up at all. All the other staff were booked. I wasted some rare, precious time away from the kids, still have my old hair, and I am more upset than I probably should be. I hope that staff is OK, but otherwise I am a very sad disappointed customer. The other staff I spoke to were apologetic.....but still..... I am off to wash and blowdry my own hair as I have a wedding to get to this afternoon - not my own fortunately! I was hoping to show up with a new do.
    Anyone got any recommendations for other hairdressers in Newtown area?

      Update - the staff member in question rang to apologise which was a nice gesture, and offered a complimentary treatment. At least some nice customer service after the event. Haven't decided whether to take up the offer. Cheers

      Just came from having my hair cut at Glitterbox following mix up last weekend. Happy to say it was a great experience, staff were very lovely and cut great. Pleased I persisted and went back. thanks Sharon

    I love this place! It was recommended by a friend when I moved to Sydney and it is just fabulous. Sharon is a genius, and so is Tom, the prices are very reasonable and everyone is really friendly. Strangers ask me all the time where I get my hair cut: I was even asked this on holiday in Paris. Now I just carry Glitterbox cards so I can give them out...

    What an amazing find!!! I've been looking for somewhere in Sydney to get my highlights done well and for a fair price and finally found it. The staff are lovely. Steph and Dean looked after me and were genuinely friendly people. The proprieter is very professional and makes sure that clients receive the best possible service. The cost of my highlights was extremely reasonable and included the blow dry (which is not always the case at other hairdressers!). The hairdresser used lots more foils than I usually get elsewhere and I LOVE my highlights. Best colour ever!! This place will not disappoint...

    I have been a Client of Sharon's for what seems like forever - happily. This is by far the very best Salon in Sydney. Tom takes brilliant care of me - he is not only a wonderful stylist and colouring expert but he really cares. All Sharon's team are professional, caring and experts in their roles within the Salon. I would highly recommend Glitterbox and would happily provide a recommendation.

    Loved the haricut, shame about the customer service. My shirt got hairdye on it from a towel used when they washed my hair (I didn't dye my hair, it was an already used towel I guess) but I was fine to let that go as accidents happen. I talked to Glitterbox about it and they offered me money back for the shirt, which was very appreciated and I was happy with that. But when I went to pick the money up I was treated like I had done something wrong, a more rude way of treating someone, anyone, let alone a customer, is just disgraceful. They had ruined my shirt, not the other way around. Getting my shirt, plus money thrown at me wasn't appreciated.

    I guess this was only one person, and like I said it was a great haircut (done by someone else though), just an appalling way to treat someone who hasn't done anything wrong.

      Great hair cut and they refunded your money? When reading your review it sounds like a chronic whinger. Sorry, but my flatmates and I have been going to that salon since it opened and we just can't imagine the staff being this way to clients. I guess winning the 2011 small business award speaks for itself.

    I would never be bothered to write reviews but I absolutely love this place - Dale and Sarah are excellent! It is the best cut and colour I have had in years and I am so glad I found them. It is very reasonably priced and I totally recommend.
