We booked for a 1 hour uncatered sunset dinner cruise and was unfortunately running 15 minutes late due to car trouble. Phone service for arranging the booking was friendly and accomodating. Received a phone call when we were running late and informed them of the problem. Arrived a little flustered and was not even greeted by the boat driver except with a rather unfriendly demeanour with not even a hint of a hello or smile. Cruise was relaxed except driver was again annoyed by us moving to the other side of the centre table to take photos and rocking the boat slightly. Not really sure if the driver was just having a bad day or just annoyed that we were running late. Strange attitude because they cut our cruise time down to 45 minutes due to fact we ran 15 minutes late, so it would not have affected their schedule and they were paid the full $190 for 2 people.
Overall, cruise was soured by the attitude of the boat driver. Was it worth $95 per person for an uncatered cruise? Honestly, NO. I experienced a better romantic experience with Mooloolaba Sunset Cruise run by Coastal Cruises with a fresh seafood dinner that ran for 1.5 hours that was a quarter of this cruise price and made all the better by amazing on board service and service with a smile...things lacking on this particular experience.
Booked for a romantic anniversary surprise dinner for my partner and I. The service over the phone was fantastic and very friendly. The cruise was beautiful, with a blanket to keep you warm, romantic background music and a bottle of bubbly. However, I must say that I was dissapointed with the food. Considering it is $115 pp for at 1.5 hr boat ride, it implies that the $320 I paid for the romantic package included a box of chocolates, the wine (riccodonna) and two meals. I ordered, for us to share, a seafood plate and an antipasto plate. Considering the amount of money paid, the two plates were very dissapointing. The sea food platter consisted of 3 prawns, 3 oysters, hald a small bug (smaller than my palm), and some smoked salmon. The antipasto plate had a few olives, capsicum, a large chunk of feta, two small stale 'brusshetta' breads and smoked salmon. Overall, I would have expected a more substantial meal for both, and by the end of the cruise we were hardly close to full from 'dinner'.
I was greatly dissapointed as this was meant to be a romantic and special night for the two of us, and something we remembered for years to come. Looking back I could have put the money to better use.
