Housed in the bright, white arches of the historic Melbourne General Post Office, the GPO is all about fashion and food of serious sophistication. It’s a whole block with a cool rooftop bar and fabulous hair salon, Heading OUT, which does express straightening services to polish off any bad hair day. There are some of the best names in fashion here: Wayne Cooper, Akira, Leona Edmiston and Nicolangëla... the list of high-profile contemporary brands goes on. And you can stop in to Juliet’s Champagne Bar on level one for a refreshing glass of bubbles and some salmon nibbles. News just in: the GPO will be hosting the upcoming L’Oréal Fashion Festival where the models will sashay around the balconies.
