    We could not be happier with the workmanship and service that they have given us. From our first phone call they have been fantastic.     Shaun has done an amazing job in our family bathroom in what would be described as an extremely challenging project home environment where the walls and floor were not even close to being level. Shaun provided a complete service including from the rip out, re sheeting, waterproofing and tiling.He worked huge hours to get through the job, was the consummate professional. He was always happy to deal with our questions and provided general advice about building and tiling matters where we were really clueless), dealt with our kids (and kitten's) constant interruptions in a lovely manner, cleaned up every day and left the place looking immaculate (removed all rubbish and even vacuumed!).

    Aside from Shaun's interpersonal skills, the work has been completed to a fantastic standard, and we will use him to complete 2 further bathroom renovations. I have no hesitations to recommend him to anyone (and have done so to many family and friends already). I just hope he doesn't get too busy so he can still fit us in!!!!

    Created a sleek, contemporary look in the kitchen with a new floor and splashback and transforming an old worn out terrace into a pleasant outdoor area was testimony to your outstanding skill as a master tiler.     I agree with all reviewers. I had my bathroom tiled last week by Shaun. Shaun did a fantastic job. Workmanship is AAA A1+++. Customer service is AAAA+++. Reliability AAAAA+++

    He completed the job in one week from demolition to sealing the stone tiles. As an added courtesy Shaun, cleaned/tidied up the adjacent room to the bathroom and left it all in a neat and tidy condition (unheard of, especially since it was not part of what we discussed). The whole experience from quoting for the job to completion has been smooth, hassle/stress free and I can not emphasise enough what a wonderful job Shaun and Jasmin did.

    From day 1 , Shaun showed up everyday for work in a happy , cheerful, positive can do attitude, which is extremely pleasant. Moreover, it is rare these days to find someone who has pride in their work .

    I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Shaun to anyone. In fact I have been telling all my friends and family about what a wonderful job Shaun and Jasmin have done.

    If you have been looking for a reliable, hard working, and generally decent person who will deliver the job on time and show up when they say they will, do not go past this company you will be glad you did!!!!

    I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Shaun to anyone wanting an exceptional job done with their tiles!
    Shaun is a real gem a true craftsman: professional, punctual, honest, careful, and importantly, reliable. Whats more, you wont believe this, but he even cleans up before leaving!
    Of all the tradespeople I had during our 5 month reno/ordeal Shaun was truly outstanding. He magnificently tiled 3 bathrooms, 2 kitchen backsplashes, a laundry, entrance stairs and 2 stack stone features, working his magic despite the varying tile thicknesses and un-plumb walls!
    Im happy to offer a reference to anyone who asks.

    If you're looking for a fabulous tiler - Shaun is your man.

    After weeks of trying to get quotes from various tradies, my neighbour recommended GBSI. Jasmin came out the next day and I had their quote that evening - a first! Jasmin was extremely knowledgeable about everything to do with tiling and even helped me choose which tiles to go with (both of them patiently answered my many many questions!)

    Shaun arrived on time, worked long hours to tile my bathroom (including strip out and waterproofing) and did a beautiful job. I chose travertine-look rectified tiles (which are hard to lay) as l'd seen them in some stunning bathrooms in hotels I've stayed in. Shaun's attention to detail, right through to finishing trims etc was as good or better than the tiling in any hotel I've stayed in. He really is a perfectionist and spent a lot of time making sure everything looked great. Shaun was extremely tidy, he respected council noise limitation timings when working late and the final clean up was like he'd never been there (particularly important in unit blocks).

    Several of the tradesmen who came in afterwards during my renovations commented on what a great job he'd done and asked for his details!

    Shaun said that his pricing is mid-range but I have to say I had quotes for thousands more from several other companies, both from the northern beaches and out west.

    My bathroom has been transformed from the 70's to 2011 and is now my favourite room in the flat ... all thanks to Shaun. I highly recommend GBSI.

    Regarding Shaun Abbott

    To Whom It Is of Interest
    I am pleased to provide this reference in acknowledgment of my complete satisfaction with the quality of work carried out by Shaun Abbott at my home in recent weeks.
    I had a quite difficult tiling repair job to be carried out, one that would require a particularly skilled tiler. The 25 year old tiles on my shower recess were falling off the wall due to water entry behind the tiles. It was my hope that the tiles could be carefully removed and cleaned, the wall cleaned and re-sealed and the tiles replaced. As I had very few spare tiles it was important that as few as possible tiles be broken or damaged during removal and cleaning.
    I sought quotes from 4 tilers to carry out the repair and selected Shauns quote for the following reasons.
    1. He arrived on time to do the quote
    2. He removed his boots before entering the house
    3. He spent a good deal of time discussing the problem and various options with me
    4. He sent through his quote on time
    5. His price was acceptable, not the cheapest nor the most expensive
    6. He was willing to charge a proportion of his time at an hourly rate when it became apparent that it would be difficult to provide a fixed estimate for how long the job of removing and cleaning tiles etc would take.
    When Shaun arrived to carry out the work we discovered after about and hour that the water damage to the shower walls was more extensive than first estimated. We agreed that the recess and walls would need to be thoroughly dried out before the repairs could be undertaken and that he would return some days later when the walls were dry.
    At all times Shaun was happy to answer any questions I had about how the repair was being carried out and he kept me fully informed about any difficulties that he encountered of which there were several.
    After Shaun had re-sealed the walls etc, together we cleaned the tiles which helped me save some money. We agreed on what plan of action to adopt in the likelihood that there were insufficient tiles to do the job allowing for some breakages.
    Shaun re-laid the tiles in exactly the same configuration as the original job and I am delighted to say that the work looks very good indeed.
    I am happy to provide Shaun with this reference. He is an excellent tradesman and I wish him well for the future.
