My friends and I revisited this favourite burger joint of ours last weekend and I can truly say that they are still as awesome as usual. The staffs are still as friendly as always, the burgers are still as fresh and delicious as usual, and the chips and its dipping sauce are still as heavenly (although I do take notice that the serving size for the chips is not as big as they used to be).

The restrooms, however, look like they havent been given enough proper care, with graffiti all over the wall which I believe is quite out of place with the rest of the look and feel of the store. Im not sure if this graffiti artwork was of their own making or if they were trying to pass the vandals work as their own.

Overall, the atmosphere of the restaurant is still good, with different seating areas catering different moods and party sizes.

A great place for a causal gourmet burger, you won't walk away feeling guilty even if you are served with their yummy hand cut chips.

There's plenty of seating and is either good for lunch or dinner.

So good to have a chain selling 'healthy' burgers! The damper bun is amazing, fillings fresh, amazing variety of burgers - grilled beef, chicken, lamb & vege. Funky music, chipper staff, everything a modern burger bar should be.
  • This burger joint has amazing chips. Seriously, they are so good. Crispy, fresh, lightly seasoned and with yummy rosemary. Oh, I'm thinking about how I can get more of them now! That's right..... They do burgers too... The burgers are okay. Certainly tasty and there are lots of options. Even good vegetarian choices. But, I wasn't blown away by the burgers. If what you specialise in is burgers - they really should be out of this world. Not just okay. That said, being okay is okay I guess. Don't make a special trip - but if you're nearby and want a decent feed - give it a crack. Go the larger serve of chips. The chips are fantastic. Mmmmmm

Grill'd is always busy with an uber young and 'very Surry Hills' crowd. The service is friendly and pretty quick and the crispy and bacon cheese burger is very good. The chips are a hit too. Not the cheapest burger in town but good food never is.

The burgers here are really good and the chips are really good (come with rosemary). However, it's way overpriced if you ask me.

I have been to this place several times during the first few weeks of their opening and I will surely come back for more. As usual, the staff are friendly and attentive. And the burgers are as awesome as the other branches. I ordered their chips for the first time and I really recommend them: the serving size is very generous and with the additional sauces, you cannot go wrong with the chips.

Grill'd burger is famous for not redesigning the restroom when they lease a place. However, this time it actually earns them a plus (this place was previously leased by wagamama and they always take restroom architecture very seriously!).

It might be quite difficult finding a parking, though. It is a highly populated area and on-street parking is basically your only option. It requires a lot of luck to find one.
