I got these guys to install a "Whirlybird vent". I told them that I saw them at Bunnings from "$98-$115" .I was told that they can get a better one for $170 etc.... So for $380 I got one installed and after looking at the box it was what was sold at bunnings an "Edmonds Supervent" for $115. If I knew that's what they were going to get I could have saved money and bought it myself. I could have paid for the labour but that was also extremely expensive. The Job took about 40mins. I must admit I was stupid for not getting quotes! Anyway that's my beef! The Job was ok. But I didn't like gaps between the vent and the tiles so I spend another hour blocking gaps!

  You are joking arent you? You ask us for an installation. We gave you the price which you agreed to. Yes the price was for the better of roof vents we use.
  Firstly the roof vent was not purchased from bunnings, rather from Edmonds. I would'nt know what the Bunnings price is but i can assure you our price is more expensive than what you have quoted. Mabey we will look into getting these from Bunnings to reduce our price for install.
  
  Secondly, we came out on saturday (weekend) to install the vent for you.
  
  Thirdly, you told the tradesman you were happy and then leave bad feedback? Why not discuss this on the day so that we could work something out (prefferably before we installed the vent)?
  
  If its so easy and cheap to do diy, why didnt you get on the roof and install it yourself??
  we are not here to opportunistically make make money on this kind of work, It is more a service we provide to help customers out who are not confident of install themselves.

Thanks Paul, Phil and team for your professionalism and good work in getting our roof looking new again. Love the no pressure sales advice and the way the project was handled. Unlike another major roof restoration co in Melbourne who refused to come out to even quote on job unless both hubby and I were home. Well done guys!

They just finished my home. The quality of workmanship is poor. They charged for new tiles and installed dirty second hand ones!!). Some of their staff have bad attitudes as well). Be carefull.

  We have not completed any work in Point Cook in the last 3 months. You have the wrong company.
  
  For the the record however if we had used second hand tiles, it would be because those particular roof tiles are not made any more. We would rather use new tiles when we can.
  
  With regards to attitudes, we pride ourselves on customer service. Having a friendly attitude towards customers is on the top of our list and our thousands of customers will verify this!

I rang Guardian Roofing to organise a quote. Paul went to great lengths to discuss how they approach this type of job and explained what to be careful of not doing. He was very low pressure, helpful and honest/straight. They sent a written quote through within 24 hours and gave me an idea of when they could start. The price was very reasonable and within what I expected. I've had this type of work done before by a very good business in Brisbane so I knew what the cost would likely be. They started before scheduled which was great. At all times they kept me advised of when they were due to start, when they were on-site, when they had to stop due to rain and when they had finished. At the end of the job they sent me through a comprehensive set of photos showing the before and after condition of the rooves they fixed. Highly recommended.
