    Guardian Roofing have just completed the refurbishment of our roof. Taking away the fact that the job took 5 days longer than anticipated (it did rain on and off) the guys were fantastic.

    Phil and his team can be commended on their approach to our roof in that they took the time to find all of our leaks and make our roof look as terrific as it looked the day we purchased the house.

    Their initial price was slightly higher than a couple we already had but their professionalism and attitude put them at the top of our list.

    Guardian Roofing promised everything to get the job and then did very little once they had the job. They were expensive, VERY unreliable, rough and messy. Tile pieces and concrete were left all over the place and I needed to employ someone to clean the gutters when they left. I can sympathise with dpudek.

      We are family oriontated buisness and always try to do the right thing by our customers! If customers have any issue at all (does not matter how small) we strive to make them happy and fix any problem.

    Absolutely terrible. I picked Guardian Roofing because they seemed professional at first. We had them replace our gutters and since we were paying for the railings to go up we thought it would be worth them also looking at our roof, replace the cracked tiles and replace the old cement with flexi stuff.
    Our roof did not leak until they fixed it
    We have since had multiple issues with the roof including about 17 leaks and a number of them returning to the same location even after they looked at it.
    Now that I have paid them, I cannot get them out to fix the latest leaks which had caused damage to our closet, carpet, light and brand new bathroom where the ceiling has collapsed.

    Other issues include:
    - They left garbage everywhere
    - Initial work looked worse than the roof did originally and they had to come out a few times to fix it (note I had not yet paid them at this stage so they were a little helpful)
    - They threw garbage from the roof on my car, hosed it down and left the garden role on for 8 hours until I noticed our garden was flooding
    - Instead of replacing two cracked terracotta tiles with new black ones as was paid for they put two brown cement ones on the roof. I had to give them my spare tiles
    - When fixing issues they caused, they blame it on existing issues which does not look like the ceiling etc pre damage
    - I am now scared every time it rains!
    I would definitely not recommend using them unless you want months of issues and added stress for your $15000 investment.

      To give Guardian roofing some credit, they have since been willing to come out and address all remaining issues at their expense. They sent their guys out in less than 24 hours from our last conversation. Better than I would expect from most tradies.

    Where do I start with them. We needed new guttering and thought that as we were going to pay for railings anyway they might as well take a look at the roof and replace a few cracked tiles and add flexi pointing etc. We looked around and Guardian seemed the most professional originally (they were not the cheapest but seemed like they knew what they were doing). Now for the negatives:
    The staff left cigarette butts all over the house and garden, left drink bottles and cans all over the yard and left our garden filthy.
    Our roof which never leaked before had 7 leaks across 4 rooms caving in the plaster on the first night of heavy rain.
    We have had a number of leaks since to additional rooms causing significant damage.
    We have been re-assured a number of times that the roof is now ok and last night our brand new bathroom ceiling caved in due to major water leakage as did our walk in closet for the 4th time since the roof was touched by Guardian.
    Staff were helpful at first (when we did not pay them yet) but now that they have been paid, I am unable to get a hold of them to re-check the roof for the 8th time (yes seriously) to try and stop all the leaks.
    I still have ceiling damage as well as damage to a wall in brand new renovated bathroom which is not yet fixed as they will not return my calls.
    They installed the wrong colour down pipes and have decided not to fix their error.
    Very unreliable when we were able to get a hold of them to do the work. i.e. say they will be out in an hour, do not call for 8 hours and turn up the next day which has resulted in me having to take multiple days off.
    Blaming the work on existing issues although they were paid to fix the roof.
    They even tried to replace two black terracotta tiles on the garage with two second hand light brown ones even though I paid for new tiles.
    Had to bring them back 4 times to make the roof similar to how it looked before as the original work looked half finished and worse than the roof did originally.
    Positive points:
    They are reasonably helpful when you have not yet paid them.
    Our two week roof and gutter restoration has now become a 3 month saga.

      Dpludeck. Even though I highly disagree with most of your accusations, I respect the fact that everyone is entitle to an opinion. I felt I must respond to the way you have gone about expressing your opinions.

      Even though we have since gone thorough most of these issues over the phone, I am very disappointed that your concerns were not raised with me during or after the project. Instead, you just publicly posted highly exaggerated and false statements.

      We pride ourselves on doing the right by our customers. I went out of my way for you during that complicated project.

      Yes we had a few small issues and the fact that Melbourne had the worst rainfall for years highlighted these issues. What customers don't know was that I was personally at your house at night time, attending to these problems in the pouring rain.

      Like every customer we complete projects for, if you have any issues what so ever you need only call us. We are always a phone all away from a solution.

    Gee wiz. My experience with Guardian Roofing was very very bad. Please keep out of my street and keep away from my neighbours.

      Exactly what was your experience? Did we actually complete any work for you? I am very sorry you feel this way. If an issue is ever brought to our attention, we go right out of our way to make sure our customers are happy.

      We complete hundreds of repairs and restorations each year and 99 percent of those leaving a happy customer satisfied.

      Obviously you never gave us a chance to talk about or rectify any issue you had and so I feel that this comment is very unfair.

      I'm sorry bmorey. We have just had the worst natual disaster in Melbourne ever (insurance wise). So we may have overlooked one out of our 1000 + appointments we did keep.
