when i used to live unsw, I went to happy chef a lot. they have a large variety of Chinese food. fair sized portions and the price is good too. taste is good too. their specialty is the shandong chicken, which is really great.

It's been two years since I've been here and the laksa is still as delicious as ever.

We also tried their hainan chicken rice but they dont taste to fresh, especially the chili and the ginger. The chicken had more bones than the meat and we struggled a bit to eat this dish.

Service wise, they are quite friendly and the order comes out at a reasonably timely fashion.

This place offers generous portions and cheap price.But more like an 'eat-in-and-leave' place. And because of this reason I always prefer take-aways than dining in. The service is quite friendly. PS. I dont think they accept credit card, so better have your cash ready.

I have always loved Happy Chef since they started in Chinatown. Now that it's in my local area, I can enjoy all the mouth-watering Chinese cuisine with ease! Especially the laksa which is just totally delicious!
