On a recent trip to Port Douglas we dined at Harrisons, regarded as one of Port Douglas' top restaurants. The environment is smaller and intimate and the service is efficienct and equal to any good Sydney or Melbourne restaurant. If you love steak, the Chateaubriand is a huge hit - our guests couldn't stop raving about it. The desserts were very good too. Whilst this isn't a cheap restaurant it does offer good produce and value.
Service was friendly and charming. Really felt welcomed. The venue was delightful with a lovely homestead verandah feel. The food was outstanding and delicious. It is expensive but the chef is a Michelin chef in a past life ... So I'd have to say it was all worth what I paid for. Would go back again .
The food was very nice, but we had to wait almost an hour for our meals to arrive. The atmosphere is lovely. We found this restaurant a little too pricy
