In the late 1930’s during the Depression, Harry Edwards opened a caravan café near the Woolloomooloo Naval dockyards. Word soon spread about the fantastic pea-topped-pies he was selling, and in December 2004, more than 70 years later, Harry's Cafe De Wheels was classified by the National Trust of Australia and included on its register. 

Now a Sydney icon, Harry's Cafe De Wheels at Woolloomooloo has served hundreds of celebrities and many more locals and tourists alike. To visit the original site yourself, head down to Cowper Wharf Roadway any day – or night – of the week.

A random caravan in Woolloomooloo where you can buy all sorts of pies (make sure you have the peas n mash), or a hot dog. Its packed on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday night with tourists and boys in their hotted up cars from the West. I rate the meat pies, and its kinda nice seating on the waters edge overlooking the harbour.

All hot dogs & all pies an absolute taste sensation, you won't beat them anywhere!
Harrys at Tempe next to the Valve is just as good & a little closer to home for the Shire people!

Harry's is a Sydney institution...especially after a few bevvies. The Tiger pie is a 'must-try'!

The other thing I love doing is grabbing a couple of pies from Harry's and finding a nice spot by the harbour and watching Sydney turn from day-mode into night-mode.

The only thing which is hard is for the vertically challenged among us to reach the counter...

The best you can get if your looking for simple yet tasty takeaway food! Its all about the Tiger Pie's! Well worth a look on a sunny evening with great views of the harbour!

Always great for a late night snack! Hotdogs with chilli are delicious and so are the pies. The prices are great and cheap and they're open usually till late :)

A fast stop for a hot dog or pie to stop the hunger whilst enjoying the fantastic view.This was really enjoyable & the prices are reasonable as well

ok maybe not the best pie or hot dogs in the city but who can say a bad word about harry's?! it's an institution for good reason. tasty hot food, beautiful location.... absolutely nothing better than stopping by harry's for a hot pie on a cold morning after a long night...
