Very unhappy with Harvey Norman Caringbah, specifically the repair department. I had a problem with my laptop. Brought it in for repair and was told it could be 2-4 weeks.
When I rang Harvey Norman 5 weeks later, the repair department was busy and would call me back.. never did. Next day I had to call them twice as staff was out and I didn't want them to call me back again. Finally spoke to staff and told me my laptop had just arrived 10 min. ago and that they would check if the problem was fixed before I'd pick it up.
Came home and the problem wasn't fixed at all, on the repair document it said the computer was shipped back to Harvey Norman after only 10 days I brought it in! So basically I've waited way too long for a laptop that hasn't been fixed!
I visited Harvey Norman's Caringbah store last Sunday and wanted to purchase some art work. The sales person told me that the floor manager was not working that day and she was really the only one who could help me.
Then a young girl behind the counter, offered to contact the floor manager on the phone for further information.
offered assistance without me asking and took my number which she passed on to the floor manager, who called me on Monday morning.
It was an unusual experience to find such a young girl who was so profesional and offered genuine 'customer service' which other people just talk about!
I will definitely go back to the Caringbah store because of them. Congratulations for employing good people!
A new LOW in retailing. Was prepared to pay over the odds to get some advice & look at a home theatre system in the flesh.
Complete waste of time, really like a bunch of used car salesmen with much less polish. Won't be back.
