Harvey's is a popular choice with my whole family. It's a great place to catch up - great atmosphere, the staff are professional and friendly, but don't try and engage you in a long conversation when all you want to do is order and chat with your guests! The food is fantastic, great seasonal menus. Prices are pretty standard for New Farm, it's not cheap but the quality more than makes up for it.

Owner-chef P.J. McMillan has made a stunning return to the culinary world this year. Previously of the Story Bridge, Arc, and e’cco, he’s back on the scene, stamping on Harveys his sophisticated but understated food. And chef Craig Edmonds (ex-Bacchus) has recently joined the team. This place is the complete package: good food rich in flavour paired with a fine wine list and great service. Breakfasts are towards the top of the local range. Lounge on one of the comfy indoor banquettes or soak up the James Street vibe outdoors.
