Highly recommend. I've been doing PT at Healthy Fit Williamstown for over 2 years and love it! Good flexibility with training times and held their modern private studio gym. My PT David is a real pro, holds me accountable when I really need it and is always reliable. Must do.
When I joined the gym nearly a year ago, I was struggling with a range of health conditions. I'd put on nearly 12kg in just 18 month, a side effect from taking powerful medication, and felt like all of my vitality had been zapped out of me.
I'd never struggled with my weight before, ate a very healthy vegetarian diet and was pretty active (daily yoga, cycling to work etc but I'd never set foot in a gym). My body was suffering from metabolic damage so I knew I had to take action to turn things around.
I was scared of joining a gym because I have a chronic shoulder injury that flares up regularly, severe irritable bowel syndrome which can have me curled up in bed for days, and episodic bouts of anemia which can leave me feeling really flat and washed out. Given all of this, I had no idea how I was going to be able to last a PT session at the gym. With all the willpower I could muster, I committed to three semi-private training session sessions a week.
Thankfully, I found myself in safe hands with Eamon. He listened carefully and compassionately to my limitations, and started me at a pace that my body could handle. This built my confidence in my self and trust in our work together. His attention to alignment and technique helped keep me injury free and was always willing to suggest alternatives to suit my body and energy levels.
As the weeks passed, I found myself getting stronger and more energetic. Every step of the way, Eamon was encouraging my incremental progress, reminding me that it's all about consistency and on some days, simply showing up can be achievement. When he could see I was doing well and up for a challenge, he'd incrementally progress me, but never made me feel inadequate if I had to wind things back to accommodate a injury flare up or low energy patch. He'd remind me that achieving lasting results are a slow and steady process, but that things would eventually start to shift.
He was right. I'm now nearly a year in our training, I've gained vitality I couldn't have imagined a year ago, and confidence in the strength and capability of my body. I feel stronger and more alive than I ever have, and the benefits of a good health ripple out to all aspects of my life. I wake up without my alarm most days, have sharper concentration at work and have substantially improved my base level fitness.
So far I've lost 6kg, many centimetres off my waist, and have changed my body composition to have more defined muscles and less belly fat. I've achieved my interim goal of 55kg and am looking forward to achieving the final 5kg in a healthy, sustainable and injury free way. People in my life have really noticed the difference and are proud of me for being so proactive about improving my health. My results even inspired my boyfriend to join the gym!
I don't think I would have stuck it out if it wasn't for Eamon's encouragement, good nature and willingness to adapt my program. I know I have been a tricky client to train because of the complexity of my conditions, but with Eamon I have always felt accepted as I am, and that anything is possible with commitment and listening to the wisdom of my body. This ability to respond and adapt is a rare gift for a trainer in an industry where pushing yourself to the point of injury seems to be the norm. I am really grateful that Eamon is not afraid to prioritise the goal of enduring, injury-free results over the alluring pull of 'progression'. He's a smart guy.
I'm sure I speak for many people when I say that it has been a genuine pleasure working with Eamon. He is a sensitive trainer with a real passion for helping people achieve sustainable goals. While pushing me to challenge my limits, he is also really respectful of injuries and understands that energy levels can change from day to day, and week to week. BUILDING HEALTHY STRONG MUMS...
I see Mums of all types, kinds, shapes, sizes and ages at Healthy Fit. We stay fit together. We motivate each other at 6am in the morning while the rest of our families sleep. We rush to the gym after dropping kids off at school or care. And then some even make it to gym in the evenings after a day spent at work.
In between sled runs and kettle bell swings we share some funny and sometimes not so funny stories of our loved ones adventures and mishaps. I see we share with our own kids a passion for a healthy and happy life. It is not just for ourselves that we come to the gym (although the break can be enjoyable) we stay fit and healthy for our family.
We don't just talk about being healthy and fit, we live it at Healthy Fit.
When my son Angus said Happy Mother's Day today and wrote 'to the Best Mum in the world' I believed it. We all should. There's no better Mum than a healthy and fit Mum.

Healthy Fit Fitzroy is a fantastic gym with great trainers who are motivating, professional and enthusiastic! There is a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere for everyone who trains there. Ive been training for about 6 months and Ive been nothing but satisfied with the staff, service and facilities. My training sessions are challenging but always fun!
Really enjoyed the treatment by the personal trainers and how professional everything is also lovely place to train and has all the equipment one needs to obtain maximum results. The motivation you get after a session with a personal trainer is the best feeling! Also best value for money
I have been a member at Healthy Fit since it began..by far my longest relationship with a gym. Boredom usually does me in but with Heathy Fit's range of group exercise options this has never been an issue. Add to that a team of fitness coaches who are knowledgable, committed, motivating and friendly and you have a great exercise environment. I highly recommend Healthy Fit to people who say they don't like gyms. I was one of those people once...now it is just part of what I do.
