Ordinary and expensive. I've had my older model European car serviced here a fair number times because their location was convenient. In my opinion they're very expensive (charging close to the manufacturer's service centre for the same work). They also normally found other things that needed to be fixed or parts replaced (at considerable expense) during my services and made me worry that my car would be unsafe without these things also being done - so often I'd get the additional recommended things done too. They've even charged me over $100 to hook up my car to diagnostic equipment to check out a problem where the engine was stalling, where the outcome was that they didn't find any problem. (Another mechanic from a different service centre later seemed to find and fix this problem by discovering some electrical cables that weren't properly connected and connecting them properly.) I've now switched to a new mechanic who doesn't claim to be a European Car Specialist but in my opinion seems extremely experienced/competent and knows just as much about older model European cars - if not more - and has the same diagnostic equipment as these guys, but charges less than half the price and doesn't push me to get non essential additional things fixed.
