    Certainly haven't been to this place in a while, but it was definatley worth it back then. Good meals, service and drinks. Also a good play area for children. The business however (what I've been told by many), has changed alot now but is not as good as it used to. Its also a bit of a drive, and there are other places in Toowoomba and Highfields for other restaurants.

    Our family went to highfields tavern for xmas day lunch which was expensive but we decided to go for lunch together rather than give presents this year. The food was DISCUSTING! The bread rolls were so rock hard you would break your teeth biting into them. The seafood was so salty you could hardly swallow it. The presentation of the food was embarrasing, they used small plastic bowls, and the triffle looked like it was vomit. The plates were dirty, a lady in front of me went through six before she got a clean one, I went through three. All up there was 10 of us, and we all left hungry and dissappointed and 650.00 out of pocket for a disgraceful meal. We talked to the staff about how we felt and they didnt care. They tried to tell us the food was fine, that if we didnt like it then tough and that "we shouldnt go out on Christmas Day anyway. How rude. None of us will ever eat there again, even if it was for free....thats how bad it was and how bad the staff treated us. DONT EAT THERE, THERE ARE PLENTY OF OTHER BEAUTIFUL PLACES TO EAT IN TOOWOOMBA!
