A few evenings ago my fiance and I decided to go out to dinner. We walked in around 6:30 and were seated right away without a reservation, which we were very happy about considering it was fairly busy. We'd never been to a Hogs Breath before and were excited to try it out.
We were seated at a large wooden table, with bench style seats. I think the table was meant for 6 - 8 people, which has me confused as to why we were seated there. The benches weren't movable, so through the night I found it very uncomfortable to bend over so far.
It's a beautiful restaurant, with gorgeous outback and rustic decor. Lots of unique things for sure.
The service was fabulous and we were cared for very well by our appointed waitress.
The starter came out 10 minutes after we ordered, very fresh and had great portion sizes. Roughly half an hour after the starter came our main arrived. My fiance found his steak pretty average and the fries were undercooked. My gnocci was average as well, I think the chef made it a tad over done, because I found it quite doughy, though still edible. Once we were finished, we ordered our dessert, which came out roughly 20 minutes after finishing our main. IT WAS AMAZING. We ordered the night's special which was cinnamon crisps and we both loved it.
All in all it was a great experience, with fair pricing. The meal with 4 soft drinks, 2 mains, a starter and desert came under $90. It was about an hour and a half, from walking in to paying and we were both very happy. We'd definitely go again, except we would ask for a proper table, without benches.
