Nice place but a bit outdated. They built rooms bigger in the day so plenty of room for the kids.

we stayed in June this year after it had been renovated and changed to the hotel grand chancellor and we were pleasantly surprised!
it was a gift from a friend for our engagement
the view was great! and location was excellent too!
the rooms were comfortable and well equipped
the buffet was very extensive also
but who has carpet in a restaurant is crazy! lol i don't think they had time to change that yet!
and we didn't swim in the spa it was too cold!
    we enjoyed our stay
    might stay there again

Don't think I'll stay here again... Started off really well, gorgeous views for a cheap price. Then it went down hill... My son became incredibly sick after swimming in the spa, he was sick in his bed and it took 45 minutes for new sheets to be sent up, I had to get sheets sent up nearly every hour until the morning when I could take him to the doctor. We had booked tickets to Movie World for that day and didn't get to use them because he was so sick. The staff were in no way sympathetic. The last night we stayed there I came across 3 cockroaches. Not pleasant for a hotel so highly regarded!!
The only upside was the location.
Don't let your kids swim in the spa!!!

Staying at this hotel was not unpleasant, but the rooms looked old and warn out, the amenities were sparse and it didn't feel luxurious at all. The romance package sounded great on paper but the chocolates were just a box of 5 ferrerro rocher's just left on the table and at the restaurant it was a set menu of mediocre seafood for the Gold Coast. It was all pretty disappointing considering the marriott's good name and reputation. The only upside was how close it was to Cavil Ave.

We just had our Daughters wedding here and most of the guests stayed in the Hotel as well. The staff were most helpful but I would like to make a special mention of the bar manager for the function. He went out of his way to ensure all needs were met, and in doing so ensured a good night was had by all. We had about 130 people all up and so this was no little task.

    Thankyou Marriot

Stayed at the Courtyard Marriot for a girls weekend away and had a great time. There are nice pool and spa facilities. Rooms are well kept. The room was big and it was comfortable even with all of us in there.

Very family friendly hotel, right in the heart of Surfers. Very handy if you have little ones because it is right on top of the Centro shopping centre which has a supermarket, chemist etc. in it. Also there is a coin-operated laundry.

And it literally takes 2 minutes to walk out of the hotel into the heart of Surfers - Cavill Avenue mall.

The hotel has car parking inside which is very handy, and is literally a few metres from the boulevard and beach.
