I've been here many times. The steaks are a great choice for a cheap eat for dinner with some friends. The service is friendly and the wine list has a great selection to choose from. Great for meeting up with some friend in the week. I would suggest the upstairs area for eating.

As a local to the area we have been there a number of times. Generally quite a lively place with good food (Steaks are a winner) and friendly service. I would opt for sitting upstairs as the downstairs can be a bit depressing as its pretty dark.

Cough splutter wheeze. Smoker friendly. Five dollar steaks have been replaced with one dollar steaks costing seven dollars. Doesn't make sense.

This place lacks a bit of character. If you are going there to eat - they do a great $6 steak -go to the upstairs area where the tables are nicer and the bar in general has a better feel to it.

Great boozer that serves pints as well as have a good selection of wines for the ladies. Does a wide range of food, but is well known for its $6.95 steaks (great value and you don't have to cook it yourslef!!). Note it gets very busy for dinner so get there early... there is also an upstairs bar if its to busy downstairs.

You can not go past the $6.50 steaks that these guys offer. Though there are plenty of $5-10 steak places in the market these days the “Duck” is doing them well. They churn them out to a full crowd every night. The place is always alive and kicking. Only negative would be the beer prices are compensating the steaks, but then again they are large schooners.
