Reviews of Hoyts Cinemas

  • I recommend going early as the 9pm session I went to the popcorn was stale. Service is average but the location is very handy when I am in that part of town.
  • Cinema definitely needs a upgrade but the seats were comfy, it was messy when I entered but overall a good experience.

Pro Tip: Make sure you either park at the Westfield after 6pm (where it is free parking) or you ensure you enter the mandarin centre parking lot exactly 3 hours before the scheduled end time of your movie.

An older cinema but it is rarely packed and there are lots of movies screened here that may have already left other cinemas. We often come here to watch later sessions, the cinemas are rather empty so you get a great seat most nights. Still don't have ore booked seating here, so firsts in, best dressed!

As others have suggested this is not the newest or most cutting edge cinema but they screen a great variety of movies (much more than the Westfield Hoyts). Ive found service to be friendly and have never had to queue. It is a little out of the way, being in the Mandarin center, but still reasonably convenient. Plus there is an Asian food court downstairs. Good to grab a movie snack/meal.

The cinema may be old and the Mandarin centre may not be the most happening place, but if you are looking for a cinema that isn't packed, and a place where you can find parking, this is a pretty great spot. Plus you can still get 3 hour parking here and apparently, when you validate your ticket, you get an additional 3 hours!
  • An old, old, OLD cinema! The cinemas are smaller than the Westfield one, the seats are smaller and tattier, and they need to invest in some air freshener. Went to see a movie that was one of the first movies of the day and there was a stale, horrid smell hanging around. I think the tickets are slightly cheaper here than at Westfield, so it depends on whether you think it's worth it when weighing up a slightly cheaper movie where less people would be in the cinema, or the quality of your cinema experience.

This is a fantastic Hoyts complex, taking up the top floor of the Shopping Complex. We took advantage of the La Premiere option, which meant utilising the lounge-style double seats in the special upper level of the venue. Comfortable seats and waiter service made for a different movie experience, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We did have the whole area to ourselves as it was not a busy day - so the experience felt very personal. The La Premiere lounge, which can be enjoyed before the movie session offered a bar and snacks. A fun outing for that special occasion.

Great location - right at the top of Westfield and largest screens, spacious, short ques. I think this is one of the best Hoyts theatres I have been too. Friendly service
