The Boathouse cottage is situated at 589 Esperance Coast Road in scenic Desolation Bay, in the Far South of Tasmania on 10 acres (4 ha) with 2 acres of parkland and absolute water frontage, mooring in the bay, nearby boat launching ramp, with spectacular views. There is a wilderness walk, unique grotto, rock formations, private rainforest with tall manferns and a babbling brook to explore.

The Boathouse accommodates two persons in a double bed plus a double futon. It is equipped for self-catering with light kitchen facilities including Fridge, Microwave, Electric frypan, Kettle, Toaster, BBQ, Electric heating,Reverse-cycle air conditioner, Electric blankets, Colour TV, DVD, Clock-radio, Hair dryer, etc.

Conveniently located halfway between Geeveston and Dover, just before Police Point. One hours drive south of Hobart (80 km) along the scenic Esperance Coast Road. It is the ideal base to visit the spectacular Tahune Forest Airwalk, Hartz Mountain National Park, South West Wilderness, Hastings Caves & Thermal Pool, Ida Bay Railway to name a few, of the many attractions this region offers.
