    Visited Hurricane's at Brighton Le Sands last night. As a local I decided a few weeks ago to have my birthday celebration there with my family and invite some friends. I rang on Wednesday to ask if it was ok to bring a birthday cake this Saturday and they indicated to me that I couldn't due to their policy and had to buy a cake from their website. After looking at their website I was shocked to see the prices. Seriously.... $95 for a birthday cake??? I can go to the local cake shop down the road and buy two or even three birthday cakes for that price.... I find that ridiculous....
    After receiving a reply to my email of complaint I still decided to go and see what everyone raves about... It's ok... The views were great but even when we first rocked up the table they first placed us on was right down the back. The food was quite average and it was very loud.... I couldn't even hear the person next to me.... Hurricane's - Brighton-Le-Sands, you are so over rated. Last time I'll be visiting you... :(

    Been here four times in total now and had a great time on each occasion. The food can sometimes take quite a while to come out however I find this is not a problem as it is backed up by great service staff and amazing quality food.

    Came to Hurricanes for a team dinner and it was awesome. I got the full rack of pork ribs and it indeed fullfilled my meat fix. The only down side is that apparently you cannot book here anymore and you have to wait as it is absolutely packed we ended up waiting for close to an hour, they managed the queue ok but the wait was definelty worth it, i will be back 100%

    Traveled to Sydney for 5 days and dined here twice and it was amazing on both occasions. The food was delicious, the staff are friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is great and the toblerone cocktail is to die for. Loved it will definitely be back

    If you love meat and ribs, you definitely need to try Hurricane's. We started our meal with the prawns that arrived in a cast iron pot bubbling away in oil and garlic. The prawns were massive, and perfectly cooked. For the main, you can't pass up trying the ribs, either beef, pork or lamb. They had a few interesting sounding burger options as well, but a burger is a burger at the end of the day, and the restaurant is famous for their ribs... The 1/2 rack of pork ribs I ate were delicious! Our waiter was great as well, especially considering it was his first day! As mentioned in other reviews, it is very busy, so make sure you book. The only downside for me, was that the restaurant was really noisy, so a little difficult if you want to try and squeeze in a conversation between mouthfuls and saucy tender ribs!

    Definately worth atleast 1 visit just to try the ribs!!! i can't comment on any other dishes because the only thing i go here for is the ribs, my partner has had the cutlets and she would definately go back just for that. The service is a bit of hit and miss, you can get fantastic service one visit and standard on another but once the ribs come out it all goes away...

    Awesome amazingly sized portions - bring your appetite! Wonderful, personable staff who were very attentive and concerned while we waited. Make sure you book! And be patient. They were extremely busy, but checked in with us while we had drinks at the bar and accommodated our request for a window. Fantastic experience! Yum!

    Simply the best Ribs in the world, or at least Australia. Make sure you have a booking as waits can get very very long even during the week. Can not recommend this place enough, you will need to be a "good" hearty eater. Otherwise go for half a rack of ribs. Good wine selection and service.
