Business Choice Review
Along the waterfront, yacht lined boardwalk you will find a wine lovers paradise! A very classy oasis with a sunken bar and friendly staff - you couldnt ask for more! As day turns to night, the lights from nearby glisten on the water to enhance the special ambiance, while you enjoy a delightful dinner with friends. Definately the place to be in the Redlands - A+++
the bar is nice - the food is utter garbage. Every time i have eaten at the icon (you'd think I'd learn, but the setting is nice) i have gotten ill. i have always let them know, but they don't seem to care that much. The produce has not been fresh the times i have visited, and while the restaurant is moderately busy, it used to be packed out before the food went intensely downhill.(chef or management change??) the management seem to be trying to do everything on the cheap. They get away with the lack of care in the food department due to the lovely setting, I wonder if they know how much the restaurant relies on it. Won't be going again, will warn people off it unless you're just after a drink.
I had the misfortune of spending this years Melbourne Cup at Icon,BIG MISTAKE!! it wasn't very sophisticated, no table cloths, one TV no sound, garbage food, no dessert, for $60, they had allocated one tiny piece of Pavlova or choc brownie per person, when i spoke to them today they assured me that they would be having someone stand over the desserts next year ensuring that peaple dont take more than one piece... honestly you could'nt make it up.
The raffle tickets were three for five bucks although the prizes were donated again a good little earner.
We waited over 30 minutes for our food and drinks order to be taken. Starter took another 30 minutes, and the main wasn't worth the additional 30 minute wait, or the $30 per head!
The mains used poor quality ingredients, which were precooked, and had very little or no, seasoning.
The atmosphere was dull, and most dinner patrons left by 8:30 go figure.
The 2 other couples near us also had the same delays, poor service, and left over 40% of their meals.
Great atmosphere, yummy food, friendly staff and fun drinks. I go here quite often to meet friends. Either for drinks or dinner. Love being down by the harbour. The place to bring that special someone you want to impress or just to meet friends for that little bit extra.

Always had a great time at this bar. It is classy and modern and overlooks the Raby bay harbour.
The cocktails are inventive and fun. But the best thing is the bar staff. They obviously love their jobs and enjoy making things that are not the run of the mill. I strongly recommend you ask the bar staff to be creative and you will be rewarded.
Easily the best bar in the Redlands.
