    I wish I could write a review about J&J's work. Unfortunately, they have not yet responded with the quote promised 6 weeks ago.

    They were recommended by a local plumbing supply shop, because I need a bathroom fixed. Totally fixed.

    I phoned them and they were lovely on the phone. We agreed a time, after hours, to visit for measure and quote. (Note: 6pm for a city worker still means making arrangements to leave work early to be home by then).

    At 7pm they had not yet arrived. I was worried so phoned again. They apologised and said they'd be here in 15 mins. OK. (Hmm.)

    They were here in 15 mins. Lovely people, professional. We established a rapport. I thanked them for making the time to visit at night. I explained that various other tradespersons doing work in my block had been invited, even measured, but never came back with promised quote. I suggested they could be the lucky ones, then showed them into the pink and broken bathroom.

    They agreed about other slack tradespersons. Agreed it was not too small a job. They explained how they usually build houses but could make this bathroom the following week before their next big job started. Tut tutted about tradespersons who don't get back to potential clients. Whipped out their measuring tapes and laptop and took notes.

    I told them my ideas and they listened. They suggested some excellent ideas and solutions. I really liked them and their ideas, and we were all kind of cheering and getting along well with promises and arrangements. I really want them to make this bathroom. I really want to pay them whatever it costs.

    I mentioned the next task after bathroom - carport transformation into enclosure with removed garden wall and water tanks. They were interested. Cool.

    Alas.

    They must be working on other projects now.
