  • To Jellyfish Restaurant
At Jellyfish we aim to source and serve daily a school of 8 to 14 species of fish, to learn about and understand the textures and specific qualities of each species so we can then recommend the best way to cook and serve it. Our chefs create sauces, batters and crumbs as well as an extensive range of side dishes that perfectly compliment the meal.

Absolute riverfront, this is arguably the best located restaurant in Brisbane enjoying striking views of the river and the Story Bridge. The decor is fresh and bright with the lines between indoors and out delightfully blurred.

We offer a superior wine list of boutique, eclectic and lesser known vineyards as well as firm favourites from the new and old world.

Service in the restaurant, the 35-seat Private Dining Room and in our newly expanded bar is always gracious, friendly and relaxed.

Absolutely fantastic! My sister and I went through for dinner on a Saturday night. Even though it was extremely busy our waiter was completely friendly and attentative. The cocktails were amazing and delicious and the whole barramundi we shared between the two of us was divine! Definitely the perfect location for any occasion and we will surely be recommending to our friends! If you havent yet experienced Jellyfish it is a must!

went there for lunch and it was quite nice. We were promptly seated and the service was great. The food was very good but the portions could have been a little bigger.

My first time at Jellyfish, and is now my favourite restaurant. Our waiter was amazing with the information about the fresh fish choices and many options of how it can be served. There is something for everyone at Jellyfish, and I can't wait to go back again! Tip, the tuna sushi mi is amazing with wasabi, and you must eat the leaf! Whole fish was too much for me to fit in, but was divine. Thanks for the great experience. Hope to come by again soon. Carolyn from Zash.

I went to this restaurant after the Qld floods and found it to be all fantastically rebuilt.

We were seated straight away (for 2) and were served quickly. We ordered cocktails and the Bloody Mary was spicy but OUTSTANDING!
We ordered our meals and although they were very busy, our Crispy baby Barra came out quickly, as did our salads. It was truly a very tasty meal and well worth the money spent on the food. The dessert - Passionfruit Brulee was awesome. The Wine list is extensive and the restaurant was beautiful.
This was not the first time i have been here and I found the Menu very easy to understand. Yes this Restaurant is very popular and busy, but it is all because the food is fantastic! Staff at times might need to take care on people waiting, but overall i found it to be a great dinning experience. We went on a Tuesday night, but i suggest that if you are there on a Thurs- Sunday it is best to book! I will be back for sure!

Where do I start!.... Went home hungry, Service very average.

We booked the Jellyfish restaurant for 4 people several months in advance, reconfirmed our reservation 2 days prior to dinner to double check.... We were given a table at the top of the ramp near the entry .. this looked like it was an extra table due to the fact they were busy. We did complain and we were moved!

After reading the menu we had a few questions and the waiter did answer, he was obviously in a rush as he tried to get away from the table before we fully understood the menu.
All night the waiter was in a hurry... as we opened our own wine (that goodness for screw tops!) We had to place our dirty glasses on the ledge beside our table to make room on the table ... when our meal was served by another waiter he didn't remove our used glasses.. hence the ledge!
The time we waited between our entree and main meal was unacceptable. We had time to drink a full bottle of wine. Maybe this is common at this restaurant to make patrons purchase more wine.
As we were catching up with friends that we had not seen for a few months we had a lot to talk about this was lucky as we probably would have had time to drink 2 bottles of wine between meals! We did hear other people complaining about the waiting time for their meals.

On the menu there is an offer "choice of any 2 fillets with your choice of sauce". The waiter did tell us it is for people that are hungry and need an extra serve of fish for a small extra cost ... We did think it was a little strange to have this offer but after eating our very small meal we should have taken this offer!
Our recommendation to others would be to order the extra serve!

Our meals although small were delicious.. even though my friend had prawn shells after checking with the waiter that the prawns were peeled!

We are a group of 4.. we enjoy dining out on a regular basis.
The location of Jellyfish is excellent but our small group of 4 unfortunately will not return.

A few minutes before 8pm we arrived at Jellyfish. Two staff behind the counter ignored us until the third eventually greeted us with are you right? while continuing to do battle with the cash register.

They said our table was just being re-set, and asked if we would like to go through to the bar. From here we could see the workings of the kitchen, the toilets, and the restaurant in the distance. Overall it was a cacophony of frantic and chaotic staff behaviour, a filthy bar servery and an unkempt shemozzle behind the bar of stacks of dirty glassware and empty beer stubbies. We could see around five or six tables set, ready for patrons.

At this point, a staff member came out of the kitchen and strode over to the wait staff and proceeded to scream at them.

With a silent look between us we walked from the bar back to the cash register. On the way we noticed a number of very bored patrons in the bar and in the restaurant. There was very little food anywhere and it looked as though people had been waiting for a long time. This wasnt how we wanted to spend our Saturday night so we politely cancelled our booking and left.
