My son recently had an accident, severing the top of his thumb. we entered the EMERGENCY Ward for attention. He was attended to immediately. Before I had even completed the mandatory paperwork, he was placed upon a gurney & was attended to by the doctor. In less than one hour the paperwork was completed, six stitches were inserted, the attending doctor displayed due care & a sense of humour which was greatly appreciated; and we were on our way home. All of this occurred on the Sunday of the Easter long weekend. There were plenty of other patients about, we weren't the only ones needing attention. The attention & execution of duties displayed by the staff was exemplary. I am from the south east corner where money to build the "beautiful" medical monuments is aplenty. In the last two years, I personally have come under the care of a recently renovated medical facility; that attention afforded to my son and that to myself are poles apart. I would like to forward my thanks and gratitude to the staff of the Kingaroy Hospital for their swift and fantastic service. Maybe the boys from the "BIG SMOKE" could mosey on up and have a look how things are done there; it would be worth their time. Two thumbs up Kingaroy, keep up the good work.
