    I guess my experience here was good enough for three stars though it was nothing exceptional.. Me and my friend were treated well and the food was so-so - it was good but came to us very slowly and we spent too much time at the restaurant which was not our plan.

    We had lunch here last week. The place looks great, but is spoilt by limited menu choices, expensive food and poor customer service.

    Most of the main courses for lunch were $35-$40. For that you would expect great food. It was average.

    Average also describes the customer service too. We were pretty much ignored once we had placed our order which was quite a feat given that the restaurant only had about 5 tables full and there were 3 wait staff. ..and when we were served it was by a staff who obviously thought was too good to be serving usand rolled eyes at us 2 or 3 times.

    I am sure that this place could be successful, if it gave the customers what they wanted rather than telling the customers what they should have!

    I suprised my husband and took him here for our four year wedding anniversary.

    We had been a couple of times before, initially recommended by my mother who had been there for her first wedding anniversary thirty years before.

    The fact that it has been around so long speaks volumes about the quality of food, service and atmosphere.

    We had a quick drink at the bar and headed to our table. Before long we were served crusty bread and olive oil, and a very smooth - and very expensive half bottle of French red.

    Our steaks were served halfway through our first glass but disappointingly my husbands was blue (he asked for medium), so they took it back to cook it some more.

    This time they got it right and both pieces of meat were melt-in-the-mouth yum and the crunchy fries and tasty greens complimented the meal perfectly.

    So, all in all it was a great night tinged with a minor disappointment.

    We will be back next year.

    If you are a fan of steak, then this is a restaurant you must try. The meat is cooked to your specifications, and whether it is rare or well done, it is incredibly tender and flavoursome. You definitely pay for the quality of the steak, however, at almost $50 a meal! On a busy night, the service can be very slow, but still polite and friendly.

    If you haven't got great hearing you won't hear your neighbour over the din. the food is simple and minimalist. Beware that the sides are served generally to the table not just to your dish. You may leave feeling hungry.

    It is all about the steaks here. I have only been once but the meat simply parted over the knife. They choose their steaks carefully and only serve the best on the market. Great little venue on the roundabout, terrific service and a great wine list to match. You are not going to get much change from $45 for your main but for a special occasion and fantastic steak this is the place.
