I've used Lindus regularly since it opened in Hornsby, mainly for convenience of the Red Box and for want of a better place. But they have now damaged so many items, and I've encountered bad service on so many occasions that I have finally decided to take my business elsewhere & to share my experiences with other customers.
1) I would caution customers against bringing good suits for cleaning - they butchered my Hugo Boss jacket, leaving iron ridges and puckers all it, then refused responsibility, claiming that "these days, designer jackets are very poorly made". The boss' comments suggested that he has had many complaints - I quote him verbatim: "I don't know why people bring us their clothes, expecting them to look exactly the same after cleaning". Well, I would say that IS what EVERYBODY expects, and so they should.
2) Most recently, they ripped the fastening off a pair of trousers, tearing the strong woollen fabric, then denied that it was them, which is absurd as I was wearing them only a day before bringing the trousers to Lindus. Also, anyone who uses Lindus will know that they have a policy of recording any pre-existing damage to a garment and making you sign.
3) Overall, too, most of the staff have been unpleasant to deal with - they seem to be very defensive and to preempt any complaints, rather than trying to work with clients to get a good result. Clear communication with some of the staff is also difficult due to their extremely poor English (this is definitely not intended as a racist comment - but the staff literally cannot communicate).
The Red Box is convenient and I think Lindus is probably fine for simple tasks like business shirts, but if you're cleaning valuable garments, it's worth hunting down a better place.
