Simply delicious. Wonderful menu, great chef. One of best in town.

We enjoyed a long luscious lunch, enjoying about seven tapas with a bottle of italian Pinot Grigio. Globe Artichokes and snails were the standouts but everything was stylish and presented beautifully. Little touches like Walnut Vinaigrette - wow! Loved the presentation of the dishes on the stand.

Somehow we were able to fit in desserts - the Rum and Raisin Banana Tart Tartin was heaven sent. The Coconut Panacotta beautiful, but could have been a little more stable. It dissolved into a puddle half its size immediately on getting to the table.

Our wait person was attentive with the right amount of fun for a lunchtime experience. He made us feel comfortable ordering four tapas and then three more.

    Loved the loos!

Want to go back and try the cocktails.

My absolute favourite restaurant. The food is brilliant the decor is modern and the services is stellar. The menu has something for everyone and gets updated regularly. The wine/beer/cocktail list is brilliant and not ridiculously overpriced - the dessert menu is great and the seafood dishes are inventive and cooked to perfection every time. Best restaurant in suburbian Brisbane I've found by miles!

I had a first date here so it's very special to me! Cocktails before dinner were really good and it was quite reasonably priced. The sand-crab lasagne was excellent. It's also suitable for larger functions so could be good for a party.

Bulimba has become one of Brisbane’s most stylish suburban food destinations, thanks to restaurants such as Liquorish. The barn-like building features four different spaces: a bar, a bistro, a formal dining room, or a candlelit corridor for private celebrations. It’s modern Australian with a European twist, including a tapas take on oysters, roasted quail and mushroom tart. On the superb degustation menu, slow-roasted duck and sand crab lasagne is a favourite.

An oasis of calm in Bulimba’s main strip, Liquorish is a long restaurant, with a white banquette along one side and chocolate-coloured drapes down the other. Owner-chef Jason Coats’s menu provides the option of snacking, with fine wines poured by the glass at your table. Or, choose an entree from the tapas selection before moving on to the wide range of mains, such as Bangalow pork belly with barbecued scampi, mash, beans, and sesame and apple salad. The signature dessert – a liquorice assiette – includes a chocolate and liquorice bavarois, a scoop of liquorice ice cream, and macadamia and liquorice rocky road. Mains average: $28.
