Local Super was established in 1984 to provide competitive and effective superannuation investment options for employees in the SA and NT local government sectors. Since this time we have grown to over 21,000 members looking after retirement benefits approaching $1.5 billion. 

In 2009, for the second consecutive year running, Local Super has been awarded a Platinum Rating by SuperRatings in recognition of its commitment to providing  value for money superannuation benefits for its members.

Our primary focus has always been you, the member. This means that after expenses are paid, all earnings are returned to members. We don't work on commissions or pay out dividends to shareholders.
