    After the 10 minutes spent with the mechanic from lube mobile I have figured out enough to ask everyone to stay away from these people.
    When I spoke with them a week or so ago I was clearly told that once I receive the quote from the mechanic I will be able to decide if I want to proceed or not. No other charges were mentioned when I was booking the visit where it is reasonable to expect that such charges would be stated clearly. On the contrary if you look on their website the fee structure is so scrambled up and the way they apply it wont be in your top ten list of guesses.
    In my case it was a broken clutch cable which I clearly mentioned at the time of booking with car model year etc.
    Didnt require much diagnosis and the mechanic didnt even touch anything. He had no preparation and had no idea what the car and the visit was about at all.
    After receiving the quote I told him that I will decide and call them since he had to get the part on a later date anyway to which then he needed a deposit immediately, and when I mentioned that I can provide my credit card number to them over the phone then he wanted to remove and take the clutch cable and I had to decide up. Which again I found quite odd.
    And from the way I was pressured I decided to not go ahead with it and then comes the visit fee to which he added im sure youve been quoted. sounded more and more like an annoying telemarketer.

    After clearly expressing my concern for this charge he had things to say that seemed rather practised or well-constructed. However he turned away after a few minutes without much surprise on his face but saying things to indicate that hes all worked up and it didnt seem like the first time that had happened.

    From the way things were going Im sure that even if I agreed to that quote it would have possibly doubled looking at their fine print and the way they work around things.
    So I agree with the previous 6 reviews.

    Will not recommend this company to anyone. First contact for a quote for timing belt replacement, which came back at a price you cant beat which had a 20% discount on this type of job. .........GREAT, mechanic turned up and price at end of job was 20% more expensive then the REGULAR Price, soooo job ended up costing 40% more then quote, come onnnnn............but wait their is more..............Prior to Mechanic laying his hands on the vehicle, the vehicle was running fine and didnt miss a beat. Since the Mechanic who operates in Logan, the vehicle now display's syptomns of the timing belt being out, coughing and spluttering, and lack of power with over reeving. My Partner contacted company office, they sent mechanic around to check out the wonderful job he had done. The conclusion is that the work they had performed was not the cause of the cars current condition and that further diagnosis will have to be carried out to determine the problem at the owners expense. My friend, your work is shotty and the company manager, you need to listen to the customers.

    Stay away from this company, they are bad bad news.

    I would rate Lube Mobile in the minus range if given the option. Bad, bad customer service, no professionalism, no willingness or care-factor for customer satisfaction. Will never, ever ring them again. Held my car for 3.5 weeks, only got it back repaired because I sought legal action in getting it back. Kept telling me car would be ready and fixed but never rang me once to say it wasn't ready. I had to keep taking days/time off work to get the car only to wait for no one to show up. When I ring them, they would give excuses and say "It'll be ready tomorrow". Took one phone call from my lawyer, still had to pay a bill for $2500 though. Will be forwarding written complaint to the OBCA today. Please, please do not be sucked in. RAA may seem expensive at the time but it is well worth it!

    I used these guys to service my car once back in 2007 with a guy calling to book the service on my behalf as I didn't have the time. Was quoted around $220 on the phone but after the guy came the price went up to $450. As soon as I said I needed to confer with a male friend the price suddenly dropped to the $300's.

    Fast forward to 2010 and I used these guys again, this time with me calling to book the service. Was quoted $199.80 for a simple service then when the guy came out he said I needed over $900 worth of work done! I refused to pay and he said just to make the car safe to drive it would cost $730. This is for a small car that only I have ever driven since I bought it brand new. The car was in perfect condition aside from needed a routine service.

    I'll definitely never be calling this company again.

      Hey, I too have had a less than pleasent dealing with lube mobile. After spending $1800 to relace my radioter, water pump and timing belt, I was assured my car was fixed. After driving it for 15 minutes, my car overheated, coolant leaking yet again, and now, wont even start! Called the mechenic back out, they towed it back to there workshop, called me back the next day saying my engine is wrecked. Now, im in a battle to get my car back, as they keep palming me off, and coming up with exccuses! Theyve had it for 3 weeks, and after numerous phone calls, still no sight of my car! BEFORE lube mobile got to my car, aside from the cracked radiotor, my car drove, it started, and it ran. AFTER lube mobile got to it, it doesnt run, it doesnt even kick over! The cheated me, and I want to do someting about it!

      Hi Chyla & Aaron! I rate Lube Mobile a rating that goes in the minuses. I have experienced the exact same low-level of professionalism and customer service as you, Aaron. They have had my car for 3.5 weeks, they never rang me with updates to tell me what's wrong with the car or when I'll get it back. I rang last Friday, they said it would be ready by Monday, nothing happened Monday. I rang Monday they said Tuesday or Wednesday morning the latest. Tuesday came and still no phone call or update, the car was still in parts when I rang back Tuesday afternoon. Due date was then moved again to Wednesday afternoon. I took the afternoon off work and no one showed up. I rang them and they said Thursday (today) by no later than 11am. 11:15am came and went and I rang my lawyer, he made one phone call and I got it back at 12:45pm today. They still slugged me $2500 for a head gasket replacement, manager did not show sympathy or budge in giving me a discount either!! Definitely will not use again!!!

      I'm sorry but i don't actually understand what your problem actually is? I am a female and a regular customer of lube mobile. When you are given a quote over the phone it is not definitive as the mechanic does need to look at your car to see if there is any other work that needs doing to get it to a road worthy standard. The quote you are given over the phone is based on the basic information you give them. When the mechanic comes out he will look over your car and then do up an estimate of any additional things that needs fixing that are NOT included in the standard service. You are not obliged to do the extra work they suggest you can still opt to just have the service and have the extra work done at a later date unless the car is deemed un roadworthy. I agree that there are some dodgy mechanics out there but so far i have only encountered professional and honest ones at lube mobile.

      The problem was I was told my car needed $730 worth of repairs to make it safe to drive - which was a lie. Even after I had my second service on the car done with another place these "needed repairs" were never brought up. They said my car only needed a standard service.

    We used Lube Mobile to service our VW Passat. We were impressed right from the word go. The lady who took the booking was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. The mechanic was on time and went above and beyond to find a solution to our problem. We'll definately use Lube Mobile again.

    The first time I used them was rather expensive. The guy was friendly and knowledgable but I think he over charged me.

    The second time was a much better experience, reasonable price and great service.

    Being a second time customer I was disappointed when Lube Mobile quoted services that they did not carry out when the mechanic arrived. When I told them not to worry about the service as there was a discrepancy with what was quoted, they stated that they have a $100 cancellation fee.

    This has to be the absolute best way to have your car service and repairs done, they came to my work, did a very thorough inspection, Then carried out the service and repairs my car needed. The whole experiance from start to finish was fantastic, from the girls in the call centre to the mechanic who came out to do the job, I was kept fully informed of what was happening and how much it was going to cost from start to finish, with no hidden surpises like what i used to get at my normal mechanic. I will definatley be using lube mobiles services again, and will be reccommending them to all my friends and family, job well done, thankyou lube mobile.

    I had a difficult problem to fix, and although they provided great service the problem I had, had to be refered to a carbi specialist which they could only point me in the right direction. They are a bit on the costly side, but if you require a straight forward repair when you are in trouble then definately give them a call. They provide a friendly service with professionalism.
