    I am usually a plain Jane with my hair but I wanted to try something new. My stylist, Sam, was really helpful, suggesting several different options. I opted for a technique called balayage (a brand new concept to me.). Sam explained the technique, and showed me some examples. I was a little nervous, but she was very patient with me, and all of my questions. The result was amazing! I am so pleased with the colour, and it's perfect for me (as I am a little lazy with the upkeep of my hair!) The whole experience was fantastic, from the initial cheery greeting at reception right through to the super comfy chairs at the wash basins! I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this salon.

    Rita blow-dried my hair last week, WOW! The best blow dry I have had! And what a lovely atmosphere, such friendly staff not the norm in a high end salon from what i have experienced. Great team of professional hair dressers!

    I have Afro hair and struggle to find salons in Australia that know how to handle my hair type. I went in to enquire about the keratin treatment that they offer and had been told it would be great for me. Made an appointment and my hair has never looked better, I am so happy with the results. Not only did Jen give me beautiful shiny healthy looking hair that I have always wanted but it is now so much easier to maintain and has really boosted my confidence. Icing on the cake = the friendly staff members. I will definitely be returning! Thanks Luxe!! xo

    Terrible customer service. Twice I have been screwed around by Luxe.

    First time they booked me in for the wrong week but I let that go because it may have been an honest mistake. They squeezed me in but with a very slow staff who took 5 hours!

    The second time I booked in with a specific staff who had been recommended to me by a friend as I had had terrible luck with other hairdressers. I had to wait four weeks for an appointment and when I showed up I had been bumped to a another staff as another customer needed my appointment.

    At the time they made out it was a booking error but the staff later admitted to my friend that I had made the right appointment with them but was bumped because they didn't recognise me as one of their regular clients and therefore wouldn't mind having a different staff. No one rang to inform me I was seeing someone else I found out when I showed up and they blew it off as nothing important. So bad. A haircut and colour costs around $200-$300 for long hair so I expect to be treated with some basic respect.

    Maybe it's not a big deal to them but when you have a toddler you have to organise babysitting for it's very frustrating to be disregarded by a salon claiming to be "luxurious and 5 star" if that is five star I'd hate to see them do 3 star.

    Overrated!

      We are very sorry that we haven't met your expectations of our salon and sincerely apologize for the mix up with your appointment which was down to human error and consequently we are investigating what happened.The standard of service you have experienced is not want we strive to give our clients therefore I would like to extend the offer of a complimentary service as an olive branch and an acknowledgement of the impact on your valuable personal time this has had. I understand your frustration and appreciate your honest feedback however if you were to accept our offer we would love to have you in the salon so we can hopefully fully meet the expectations you have of us

    After many bad experiences with hairdressers, finally I have found a salon that can not only cut my hair, but colour properly as well.

    I have found all the staff to be friendly and professional, and they actually listen to what you want. I needed my hair to match a past style and colour for a photo-shoot that I was doing, and my stylist matched it perfectly. I have been coming to Luxe for 2 years now, even though its a little bit of a drive I would not go anywhere else.

    I feel safe in their hands. Keep up the great work Luxe !!

    I can't fault the technical abilities of the stylist who did my hair, but he completely ignored my (relatively simple, and repeated) requests regarding what not to do to my hair. This salon obviously has a very defined aesthetic, which is fine - it's unfortunate that it doesn't suit my taste, dress sense, age or personality. I should probably have done my research rather than just dropping in, but I found it disappointing that my stylist didn't listen to me. Be warned, this place is great if you are a soccer mum, but you might want to think about heading elsewhere if your look is a little more natural or edgy.

    Worth every single penny!!
    I have been with Luxe (formerly Imagine) for 6 years now and I can guarantee there is no better salon! First off, anyone who can manage my thick, coarse nightmarish hair with aplomb has my respect. Secondly I find that their recipe for success is... a super friendly staff and expert hairdressers who know what they are doing and know what works for you. Ruben (friendly owner) has himself a little goldmine here!

    Really friendly staff that don't make you feel intimidated. Not prentitious like some other salons. I've had my hair cut and coloured here, and have been happy with both. I always come out of the salon happy and they don't charge ridculous prices too. I liked how when I was going to go light in colour, they did a test strand to show me the different shades that my hair could go. This helped a lot since sometimes what you have in mind is not necessarily what you get as different hair reacts differently with the dye.

    Great salon. Really friendly genuine staff. Staff are very experienced and know what they are doing. They do excellent Kerastase hair treatments and blow dries. I havent had my hair cut here yet but from what I have seen they cut really well, I am always happy leaving the salon. Im trying the Brazilian Hair Treatment next week.
